I am, for the first time voting labour for the Mayor of West Yorkshire, as I consider she is fairly high profile and has done the job well, so far. As for our Local Council, I will be voting Green. The Labour run Council is a joke, have put children at risk through their policies, have spent money on projects which I guarantee will be White Elephants, and have generally been, in my opinion, wasteful and unbelievable in their plans. the latest being a 3,800 person venue which appears to have been ditched, one of the councillors is a director of the company, now nearly completed, but no one is saying anything about it or the state of the bus station which is closed. Car parks being pulled down and the centre pedestrianised. The centre is made up of steep hills, so no consideration for the elderly or infirm.

Jobs for the Girls, the previous chief exec who had to retire due to the scandal involving the death of a child has been re-engaged to lead the 2025 Capital of culture at what cost? no one knows. The whole council stinks and I hope that current Labour voters in this area realise that, but I won't hold my breath.

Which begs the question, Curryman isn't there a green candidate for the mayoral post?

I think at the general election the parties might be surprised at the general apathy of the public. Turnout could be lower than usual. Ed Davy re postmasters, Rayners council house shenanigans and the many Tory MPs carrying on 🤷🏽‍♂️

Because the Tories want to reduce the younger vote coming in as they don't vote Tory.

Least likely to have a driving licence, while a student bus pass doesn't count, while a pensioner one does, despite them being the same apart from the title.

To think that Labour count on the younger vote when it was Blair and Labour who actually brought in student loans and tuition fees, its like turkeys voting for Christmas

You can never underestimate how thick the human race are
