Shamima Begum

I want her to come back so she can be subject to criminal proceedings. I want her to pay a price for what she has done and have no grounds for complaint about unfair treatment or denial of her legal rights. What part of all that do you not understand?

It's like trying to debate with a five year old. I suppose it is my own fault for trying.
I'd give up Robbie lik

Try again. I'd give up Robbie as I've done. It's not worth your precious time. One reason I rarely come on this dark side of the board.

Happy to be corrected but don't think anybody has supported her return .

However we do have the rule of law and that is what distinguishes us from the death cult

If investigations reveal she has been actively involved in terrorism she should go to jail for a very long time

I know allowing people back onto the UK who hate us to the point of advocating killing uk citizens sticks in the throat but we are a democracy and central to that is respecting the rule of law

She's not some bewildered brainwashed child - she's a wrong un but unfortunately a British one and we have to deal with it

And your happy for the British tax payer to pay for this ongoing fiasco Which will undoubtedly go on for years. She would probably end up profiting from it all in the process. So no I don’t agree. She should face justice in Syria not here.

If that is following the law then yes it is the right thing to do. Whether it is expensive is irrelevant. Otherwise why not get one of our SAS snipers in the news to solve the problem. Worryingly though I have no doubt the real extremists who apparently don't believe in following the law would welcome that.

I am probably (in the eyes of some on here) a RWNJ and I'm a bit on the fence on this but I'll take a position and say yes, bring her back.

I dislike all religions in principle but only one is currently trying to kill me so I dislike that one even more, that not withstanding I'm not in favour of demonising a deluded 15 year old girl simply to gain brownie points in the tabloid press.

I am happy to pay for it, yes. The rule of law does not come for free, and I believe it is worth whatever it costs to ensure that justice is applied equally and as fairly as possible. You give the distinct impression that you can't separate out price from value ; they are not the same thing at all.

Comrades....it was Lord Justice Flaux who said she could only have a “fair and effective appeal” against citizenship deprivation in Britain, because of an inability to communicate with lawyers from the SDF camp where she is being held....and don't forget, the Govt will appeal this appeal.......

And it's that reason why she will come back.....so the UK can show the world that you will get a fair trail and we will follow the law.
No matter whats written in the press or what Tommy supporters will say.....she should gets a fair trial and be allowed to plead her case.

Amazed that allowing this makes you a communist.....

Why is she Syria's problem? She isn't a Syrian citizen and she entered the country illegally with the aim of doing untold harm to that country. Surely Syria are entitled to say we no longer wish to feed and shelter her, we don't want the expense of trying and imprisoning her, we just want her gone.

Absolutely, but she has been involved in wrong doing in that country and should be tried by their authorities IMO. Bangladesh don't want her Syria doesn’t want her and neither do we. ( except the obvious bleeding hearts) Quite telling isn’t it.

Who has said they WANT her here?

And if the Syrians don't want to try foreign Jihadis, they just want to deport them are you saying she should go unpunished?

It is quite telling but do you know which of those countries who don't want her is the odd one out? I'll give you a clue it is the only one she has ever been a citizen of. In view of that where should she end up?

So you accept the sovereignty of Syria and its leader Assad? Cool we are making progress...

Spiritof53

You really are wasting your time trying to have an adult discussion with people who react like this.

Sorry is this the same Assad and the same Syria we wanted to bomb a few years ago? But now apparently it has a fully functioning judicial system and is totally trustworthy to try British Citizens?

Dearie me. How low have the True British Patriots and wannabe Viking Warriors fallen? Cap in hand to Assad ..... errr...we have a slight issue here. Can you help us out please. Thx 🙏

In an ideal world I'd have a big house, £10 million in the bank, be devastatingly handsome, be 6 foot 3 tall, weigh 180 lbs and have 9 inch penis. Unfortunately none of these are case in the real world. I have to accept that reality just as you need to accept that Assad is in charge in Syria whether you like it or not.

It’s almost like he has a window into my life!!

Bit spooky.

ISIS is not militancy, its a death cult, but hey by following you rationale maybe by next year Stalin will be cool eh. Whats 20 million murdered in the gulags amongst friends
You're right about the death cult thing. There's no need to follow through with the barbs.

Syria under Assad are not holding the woman, the Kurds are along with other ISIS fighters and dependants, if the Syrians had got hold of her she could well have been executed.

This is a poor thread. A young girl has put herself in a stupid place, has had three failed pregnancies and, I understand, may still be a militant. It is not for us to judge but it is certainly a tragic case.

Right so if Tommy Robinson was stripped of his UK citizenship while out the country you would still all be clamouring to get him back, arm him with a team of human rights lawyers (at the tax payers expense of course) and come up with just about every mitigating circumstance you can think of to excuse what he’s done?
If yes then fine.
Before I’m called a racist I’m happy for her case to be heard and for the law to take its course.

In the shit hole she resides right now. That’s where.

As long as Robinson has sole British citizenship like Begum then it would be a travesty to try and remove it.

I suspect this boards leftie luvvies will give that question a direct swerve.

JCN's mask is slipping a bit. He won't be able to buy any groceries if he keeps this up. 😀

How is this Begum character going to return to the UK, without avoiding the 14 day self quarantine/isolation on arrival, as per (current and granted changeable) COVID-19 law - Syria isn’t on the exempt travel corridor list.

The frustrations of some for paying for her travel expenses, accommodation, court costs, future life in the United Kingdom - no democratic choice on that one!

Will the racist Sajid Javed be the next witch hunt victim for the far left and their faux outrage white middle class supporters? After all, he did have her citizenship removed, for security reasons.

Interesting times ahead, on this one.

It’s the victims families, of these types despicable acts, I feel for the most.
