Now the games off.

Been away and planned to set off early
pick up a ticket on the day for the game or if late watch on the Kodi stick.

Looks like the pub.

I'm currently having trouble with O2 re my phone and my wife's phone. Got through eventually to a help desk and a man with very poor English that spoke at 100 miles per hour. Wound me up with his insistence that there was nothing wrong even though they have sent some of my information to a phone number i do not recognise. Not a great start to the day, so I will be trying to sort them and this out. NOT HAPPY.

Pub crawl in Lancaster. 16 of us have a minibus booked for 11.00am, returning at 6.00pm. So, no, I never was planning to go to the match.

Started with an hour of doggy play, now it looks like my granddaughter has put a Christmas movie on 🥹 will go to the tip with some stuff after a big clear out and out for a meal tonight to celebrate my daughters promotion at work 👌

Enjoy your day peeps 😁

Mrs spud away yesterday and today in Harrogate, so home alone until the lad comes for lunch and to watch footy on telly later.

So some dog walking and and lounging about for me today.

Which is nice.

Then some hasty cleaning up before mrs spud gets home at teatime...

Going for a long walk in the frozen snow, frost and mist outside 🥶.
Got some neighbours coming round for drinks 🍺 tonight. Hope they are in good form or it could be a long night 🤞.

Rose early - worked out some riffs on the guitar (Skids Ruts and some blues), cancelled / rearranged today’s Derek Spence interview, looking after LE who is in pain with some broken ribs ….. she’s asleep now so I’m having a bit of indulgence reading Bram Stoker’s Dracula (what a great book) … 📖

I work with Derek, Rox & you could never describe him as being a quiet chap. Get him onto his none selection for NI for the '82 WC in Spain. Certainly no RIP Billy Bingham vibes. Over 40 years ago & he's not letting it go 😳

Probably watch Arsenal v Wolves on IPTV, few FPL players to watch/support. Thrilling stuff…

Good luck with that. I had a spat with O2 & Virgin so I stopped the Standing Orders that prompted many calls & threats of debt collectors 😆 when you repeatedly explain your issue they either transfer you & you have to explain it all again but don’t listen 🤬😡 I got sorted eventually through an Ombudsman 🙄

As for today dog walk & a Christmas tree appeared last night whilst I was out having a beer or two so I guess that’ll take some of the day up. As for the rest of the day I don’t know.

I must admit though, a Leo Sayer round Lancaster with a bunch of mates does sound very appealing, it’s shit like that I miss the most about the UK🥲

He’s a nice fella …..DS that is……as is Rox also 👍

Brought in two barrow loads of logs to replenish the fire places. Put suet and bird seed on the ground below the bird feeders for the pheasants while listening to the whooping and a hollerin’ from a field nearby as people blast their cousins to pieces. Everything is engulfed in a freezing fog so god knows what they can see to shoot at. Put hot water in the bird baths so any survivors can have a drink.

Now just waiting for it to get dark before I open a bottle of a Whitstable Bay and light the log burner.

I've got the forest game on a dodgy feed from South America. The female commentator sounds like a cross between Joe Pasquale and Jimmy Clitheroe

Some grand pubs there, my home town…..let me know which ones you’ve been in…if you remember 😁
Started at the Waterwitch, then turned right along the canal, up at the first bridge and straight into the next pub...just by the traffic junction, can't remember the name. Walked down the road towards the centre and went in the Brown Cow. After that it was my turn to choose so I took us all into the Borough. That was followed by the John O' Gaunt then Merchants. Finally we went in a pub that I remember being called Gillows - it's called something else now, (shame). Then a failed attempt at a snog with one of our party followed by a snooze on the bus home.

I’m thinking of heading to Abingdon street today as I’ve not seen it yet? Such a long time since I’ve been into town in the day time.

Is there anywhere new worth taking a look at whilst we are in the area? Like I said, it’s been years barring a couple of trips at night to the WG or the theatre.

Yesterday I was somewhat comatosed having celebrated mine n Mrs Wizzers joint 60th birthday.
Picked the 1st as its in the middle of mine and the Mrs birthdays.

Many thanks to @LivingTheSeasideDream for the recommendation of Lee, the DJ

Went into deepest Nobberville last night to celebrate a joint retirement with two lads who I served my time with. Got there @ 5 got home @ 9.30!!

I was absolutely goosed, in bed by 10 and eventually woke up @ 9 with a relatively clear head.
Thank god the game got called off!🤣

Like @JJpool keeps saying loads going on in Blackpool.
You'll be able to see all the shops that have closed down, take in any new carparks that have sprung up in the last few months or take your pick from any of the charity shops, nail bars or vape shops that now adorn the town centre!!!
Hope you see things differently when you get there but as the saying goes, you can't polish a turd!!

Well, I was puking & crapping my guts out, probably due to the Popeyes chicken that I had after going around the Manchester Christmas markets on Friday afternoon

Yep apart from everything new happening there's nothing at all.

I bet you're fun at parties.

You could walk by the derelict shops and hotels. Look at the superb refurb of the Tower building brickwork, Clifton hotel rendering, close up it looks like it was done with concrete and put on with a shovel. I think the last thing new in Blackpool was the Sandcastle, so bring your speedos.
Oh, theres the new tram station opp the old bus station, still on schedule not to be finished this year. Think i'd stop where I came from.

There is a sprinkling of Christmas Markets on the prom if you fancy a gluhwein 🍷and a turn on a 196 ft swingride 😆 or bring you your ‘hockeys’ and get yourself on the ice rink ⛸️.

Whatever you do Chunky, enjoy !
