Do we need a landmark signing?

I think we've clearly done some good business over summer, but do we need a landmark signing just to up the ante? Maybe a decent Prem player who is late 20's and still up for a fight who would make the league sit up and take notice and get the fans juices flowing?!

As daft as it sounds quite often ‘an adventurous signing’ has quite often tied in with promotion success in the past.

Oh FFS no. We had enough ‘wow signing’ crap rammed down our throats over the years. Sign players who the head coach and transfers team want and think will fit what we’re trying to do instead of getting hung up on a ‘name’

Example of who?

I would also say a decent PL player in his 20s would still have a few years left in the PL and would therfore would be out of our budget? Unless as fans we are willing to pay a season ticket price of about £1k each.

We do need some more quality and experience in the squad. I think Fleetwood have some good business in signing Callum Camps . Not a wow signing, but certainly a quality one

Think our wow signings will be loan players we have never heard of.
KDH lit up our dull season and most could still not spell his name never mind heard of him when he signed.
Same thing when we signed Seamus Coleman, never heard of him but what a player he was for us. Joe Hart too.

The chance of a Premier League player in his late twenties dropping down 2 divisions is almost nil.
We aren't Fulham under Al Fayed.
