I was around for the Punk era but if there were any girls of punk, they kind of passed me by as I was rocking out to these chicksI feel I missed out on the punk era. I reckon I’d have loved it.
Used to be my nieghbour when i lived in Montgomery (she had a holiday cottage there). When I was 8 or 9 I went to the Plaza Cinema in St Annes in the 1970's to watch Dr Zhivago, during the summer holidays. It was the time I had become aware of female beauty and her name was Julie Christie, I suppose that was my first crush.
It was fantastic, I was only 11 when it started but soon got into it with my schoolmates. Unfortunately I missed all the early gigs that the older kids went to so I always felt I’d missed out and wished I’d been 2 to 3 years older.I feel I missed out on the punk era. I reckon I’d have loved it.
