Preston placed in Lockdown

From midnight.
I wonder how far the restrictions apply? Would somewhere like Garstang be included?
Can't say it's a surprise is it?

Well what you are trying not to say is that it is towns and cities with high Asian (sub continent) populations that are most affected in the main?
That would rule out Garstang completely.

Lancashire's director of public health, Dr Sakthi Karunanithi, said it was "extremely important that we act now" following a significant increase in positive cases.

"I also want to be clear that this is affecting people from both south Asian and white ethnic backgrounds, particularly those living in poor socio-economic conditions in our city," he said.‘

Who to believe, Calm Clown and Chucky or this guy 🤔

Just build a wall round it and have done.

Last time I took a train there, and over the speakers I heard, " we'll be arriving at 19.45" I thought wow, time travel.
And it was but it felt more like 1970 to be honest!!

I'll get my coat 😏

Following the Government’s logic re. Quarantine(Spain, Balearics and Canaries) and Lockdown , should the whole of the North West including the Isle of Man and Walney Island not be on Lockdown?

Didn’t realise I posted a view? More a clear and factual statement.
Unlike you, you imposter, who has still never posted on a football thread, on a football message board.

Maybe maybe, but i look great and you’re purely lost.
Must be difficult for you being on a message board that you frankly don’t understand and outwitted by those you class as thick?

The Isle of Man is an independent country with its own government. It does not have to follow Bojo’s edicts. Having said that, the Island went into complete lockdown early, within 8 days of the first case, and closed their borders with all passenger services from the mainland cancelled.

Anyone arriving (apart from transient freight and key workers) has to go into 14-day quarantine. And if you flout their rules they will give you a 21-day sentence in Jurby Prison. That has happened to a handful of people.

Because of this the CV has been completely suppressed on the Island, so life goes on relatively normally. The Island has not had a single new CV case since the 22nd May.

And breathe and chill out. I bet you’re a joy to be with 💤 plus my comment was light hearted but you‘re a humourless git so ...

It’s a bit mad, in that because of the different authorities large swathes aren’t in lockdown. Penwortham running into the town centre is not in lockdown, but Fulwood and Cottam, both further away are...

2nd half, Nottingham playing in that weird semi sweeper position launched it into the opposition half and we created a chance from it after some tippytappy in and around our own penalty box

Light hearted throwaway remark, but unknowledgeable. Sorry, did not mean to be boring. Perhaps I should use the emoticons more to make you feel better about it.

But they are interesting facts if it’s your homeland. It’s how an island nation should have handled the CV crisis. You know... like Bozo’s Britain.

The Isle of Man has closed its borders to all but returning residents ,no tourism but it seems the locals are happy with that.
