He came highly rated, so Curle may well have seen what others did and what we thought we were getting.Sounds like Keith Curle is a long time fan, and he reckons he can get the best out of him. Let's hope he does.
We did the same to Stoke with Jordi Thompson.I wonder how highly Blackburn rated him. They must have been laughing all the way to the bank.
Good post.I'll preface this with the comment that I find fans who abuse their own players at football games a bit bizarre, I remember some getting particularly nasty at Accrington away, it doesn't benefit anyone really does it? Personally I was never Nuttall's biggest fan, but I did feel the animosity towards him at games was unnecessary
I was always hoping he would "come good" (the famous saying surrounding him). But it did get to a point where in my mind I just accepted he probably wasn't good enough. I remember a lacklustre performance against a bottom half League Two side in one of the cups really started my worries. With the reviews we received, you'd have thought there would have been a glimmer of class against a squad so below his apparent level (I remember Kaikai certainly showed his); but for me there wasn't, and there wasn't much after that, which impressed either. The stats don't lie, 8 goals in 70 senior apps, 2 in 27 for the Pool.
It might be true that he just didn't flourish under Grayson-ball (not many did). I was interested to see if Critchley could reveal the player we were promised, I am always ever hopeful that Blackpool players I don't rate will prove me wrong (you'd be stupid not to); but for me this is the best course of action with Nuttall. A loan spell could do him wonders, I hope it does and I hope he comes back a goal scoring machine! But the pessimist in me doubts it
