Two weeks today...... let the show commence

There won't be any proceedings today, apparently. Hopefully there will be more clarity about the rest of the week later on today.

I suppose this means I'll have to to go to Sainsbury's after all....

Really. Does the Tribunal service not bother to tell those people who have registered an interest In attending In person and virtually. Just as shambolic as the Oyston dynasty 🤬

Good job we weren't attending in person.
I have e-mailed the guy who sent the link to see if he can tell me when I should try again.

They actually re-sent me the link this morning, which was very efficient but suggested that admin. didn't know what was happening either.

At least I can watch "Law and Order" in peace now. **

** fuck Sainsbury's.

Whilst I realise that there will be quite a few posters on here familiar with the inside of a Court room 😉 there will be others less so.
With these virtual hearings just a little bit of advice.
Don't forget to get dressed before you log on because you will be visible to the Court on the big screen in the courtroom. (Probably something similar to the video wall in Britain's Got Talent although the performance you will be observing is "Karl's Got No Talent" 😁)
So you can pull faces at Karl but you will be on mute so you won't be heard laughing out loud at his evidence.

It should be remembered that Karl still has a quite substantial overdrawn loan account balance that he needs to clear.
I can't remember exactly how much, and can't be bothered to download the accounts, but I think it was upwards of £300k.

For info KO owed £161k at June 2019. There was also a company vehicle valued at £60k in the possession of an unnamed former director.

Really, really could not give two shiny shites. Weird how some want to cling on to the 'good old days' when Oyston was the reason for the club doing so badly! Maybe now they've gone, we are being exposed as a club.
Good for you. However, there are quite a few people who have virtually had their lives ruined by him. It is insulting and very poor to criticize people with this line in particular: "Weird how some want to cling on to the 'good old days' when Oyston was the reason for the club doing so badly!" You could not be more wrong.

You are the only person I have ever heard of who regards them as 'The Good Old Days'

Well bearing in mind he got the boot at a time when the Family were still in charge (albeit clinging on by their fingertips) I’m hoping he’s going to fill in the background about the family fall out and serve up some juicy tidbits on his dad.

I believe it’s not only the local press that are on standby Mex....... I’m sure the clown will try and throw someone close to him under the bus 👍🏼

I was "in Court" last week trying to fight my Dad's Will. It was done by Teams.
I wish I had called CurryMan as a witness tbh. Bleach51 might have been problematic

insider

it has been adjourned, indefinitely as far as I'm aware.

Is it really anything to do with Dad???
See my post #80.

From memory Karl was removed and replaced by Natalie whilst Owen was still in charge, in which case that’s arguably when the alleged unfair dismissal arose.

The relationship and dealings between father and son at that time would be very pertinent I’d have thought.

Pertinent of course but the claim is still against BFC Ltd. Can't see why Owen would want to help the football club he has supported since he was 2 years old out a hole.

The Court has just told me:
"The case has now been settled between the Claimant and Respondent"
Make of that what you will.

He was suspended by Owen not dismissed

BFC issued a statement confirming the actual dismissal in or around Sept last year

This claim was lodged by KO before the new ownership took over. Whether it had any merits or not, Sadler's team should have taken account of it as a potential liabilty when valuing the club for purchase. Most employment claims are settled before the tribunal. Even if the claimant's case is weak, they is always some chance they will succeed and it is often cheaper to pay some nuisance money than incur the full legal and other costs of the tribunal. There may have also been ofsetting of any claim against outstanding loan owed, as well.
It gives the opportunity to move on. Just wish they were also completely out of the stadium as well
