I'm going for the M6 through Cheshire, God its boring. Thank goodness the two year long roadworks have finished now, at 50mph you had the pleasure of being bored for even longer.

Hate the section of the M6 north of the toll up past Stoke Stafford all the way till you start going past the exits for the Rugby League towns. Spent so much time in traffic jams going up and down to visit my family and friends and watch Blackpool.

...most of it is in Staffordshire but then maybe that one is still there and Cheshire has finished...not been near either since February..can’t think why😉

The M25 between the M1 and M4 is pretty horrible.

I suppose technically it’s not a motorway but the A12 is my least favourite stretch of motorway type road.

Definitely the M25 but also those bits of flyovers coming away from Millwall etc, where drivers will be going over so many missing people who will be propping those flyovers up.

I dont know how BASIL (Imposter) got away with it but both Ron and Reggie took the heat on that one.

M4 across South Wales is horrific. Think that’s my least favourite. Heading out towards Swansea just seems to take forever.

So was I for 50+ years. My most hated is the M50, only just over 20 miles long but always seemed to take forever. Also only 2 lanes, so if roadworks or accident, forget it.
I used to cover for the night trunks holidays occasionally and could do the Potters Bar run there and back n/p.
But any of the Glasgow depots I couldn't get back without having to have a nap usually at Killington Lake.
It just so tedious and 4 hours plus each way felt like a lifetime.....................

As I said I was on the road for 52 years. I didn’t do trunk I was roaming al over UK, so covered all Mways and trunk roads. In fact when I started the only complete motorway was the M1, all the others were built around me. Believe me that was no fun at all, about 30 years of permanent road construction and hold ups. If I didn’t have my own vehicles I would have packed it in years before I did. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Easy one that, the M62 between the M61 and the Oldham turn off, the roadworks have been there forever and its HGV heaven, its a car park in rush hour and in the winter its just horrible.

Never been on that road Mex but it looks long and remote over in Suffolk?
If we are allowed A roads, I think the West section of the A66 was once voted the UK's worst road?
It's single lane in many places, so if you get stuck behind a tractor or truck, you're knackered - it's a busy road so the other lane is usually full so no way of overtaking.

But for motorways, I'm a bit surprised the M65 hasn't been mentioned. It reduces from 3 to 2 lanes in quite a few places with little warning. I've seen a few accidents where drivers are quickly trying to get into lane 2 when lane 3 is disappearing in front of them.

M6 Toll road through the services .. also quite like bits of the M5.
I think you meant to post on the favourite motorway thread McG?
