When the idiots in America were conned by Trump in 2016, I thought he's bound to get a bullet between his eyes!

Well, just shows how wrong I can be. I keep getting the Rolling Stones song"You Can't always get what you want" going through my head. Must have been because it was played so often during Trump rallies!

Anyway, fingers crossed that enough Americans will come to their senses and evict the rapist, tax dodging egoist from the White House.

What a mess the Republican Party have got themselves into. Sleeping with the Devil will always have consequences.

Agreed but wouldn’t be calling Trump a rapist in the same post that you’re egging on Biden. Hasn’t exactly got the greatest record himself in that department.

This was posted the day after the election. Whilst it’s a comedy skit, he makes some very good points about the lefts attitude towards anyone who doesn’t agree with them and how it ultimately cost them.

The question is did they learn from it? If so Biden wins easy
Or did they double down and call everyone stupid racists and Nazi, white supremacists to the point where the terms are essentially meaningless? If so watch out!

Feel sorry for the Yanks, as both Trump and Biden are woeful. If the Democrats had a decent candidate they would walk the election

Main trouble with Biden is that he is a huge fan of the EU. Will make getting a good trade deal more difficult. Oh, and he’s too old. But Trump is an egotistical twät. It’s a dilemma I’m glad we don’t have.

They haven't learnt. Certain posters on here certainly haven't.

I don’t expect Biden to be around too long if he wins. He’s just a point man for Harris Who as far as I know doesn’t have a chequered past. Maybe should of just done it on her own.

Just one question (I couldn't care less who wins tbh).

How on earth is democracy at stake in America ?
Because of the numerous attempts to suppress the vote..thankfully the judges have tended to find in favour of those who feel all votes should be counted.
You could also argue that the threat to have the polls watched by militia is another attempt to suppress the vote.
The threat of the lawyers.
The intention to declare himself the winner if he's leading on the night rather than wait for all votes to be cast...which will then lead to violence and/ or a lawyer frenzy as he will have sewn some doubt as to its legitimacy.

I’ve never known 2 sides be so utterly convinced they’re winning. This should indicate it’s a very close tie, which is consistent with decades of voting in the US.
Tomorrow will be fascinating, as will the 10 days after, where votes are appearing from everywhere, every single one of them apparently for Biden and all completely legit. The term ‘red mirage’ is already being planted across the media in case its needed.

Even the latest poll by Trump supporting Rasmussen is showing Biden ahead so I think Trump realises the game is probably up. Trump’s main tactics appear to be sending out the message that the worst of covid is over whilst trying to stop as many people voting as possible. Looks like is only hope is to be winning at half time and then try to get the game called off.

I'm not convinced. Unless Biden takes the early result states like Florida, it's going to come down to states like Pennsylvania. There are less ways to 270 for him but it's certainly not a done deal.

The polls seem to show a fairly clear win for Biden, Trump would need a big error in the polls to even get close.

I don't think there's the same dynamics in play either, there aren't the same number of undecided voters, Biden isn't anywhere near as unpopular as Clinton was and it was a very narrow win for Trump last time around.

I'm still cautious of the polls. In the states that really matter in terms of the electoral college, the polls are within the margin of error.

Cautious yes, Pensylvania is 4.7%, normally outside MoA, Arizona and Florida are 2.5%, that's just about within margin of error.

MoA cuts both ways too, Texas and Iowa are 1.5% for Trump, Ohio a mere 0.6%, lose those and it could end up being a landslide.

In that case it will be fine, and there will be no mention of Red Mirage needed.

I don’t know what to make of the 60,000 strong crowds for Trump rallies though (other than there standard, alt-right, racist desire for a tyrant to ruin America) and a lot of the polls taken from those rallies suggest many of them are not registered republicans and or first time voters.

We will know more this time tomorrow, I guess and hopefully this will be put to bed either way.

All eyes on Florida,
A big Biden win - bye bye Trump.
A marginal Biden win - probably still Biden
A Trump win - could go either way.

It's going to be a shambles, no winner tonight, Trump will claim it, Biden will oppose, it'll go to postal votes, they'll be challenged and it could be weeks

It could be better for Biden than the polls are suggesting (this is a hope).
After the failure of political polling last time the I have heard that the models used to calculate state by state results were updated to give more weight to the typical Trump voter who were vastly underestimated last time. It could be that they have overcalibrated in that direction, if this is what has happened then the result is a Biden landslide.
538 are giving Trump just a 10% chance, this is down from 13% a week or so ago, Biden's lead has been increasing by the day.
However, it's even more difficult to predict this time because so many new voters are casting their votes (i.e. people who don't usually vote), my guess is that this is good for Biden and given that the Trump campaign is already contesting the result (sort of), it looks like they think that as well. I hope for the USA that the result is clear enough so that Trump cannot claim a victory in any sense and is left isolated by all decent Republicans, leaving him only one option, to accept defeat in his usual graceless manner.

More detail here;

I do hope you're right ElBurro. However, the right wing press and the GOP are saying that there are a large number of first time voters turning up at Trump rallies. I draw no definite conclusions but I don't want to crack open the champers just yet.

You do know red means Republican in America?

Given the left wing suppression of free thought in the west by throwing a label on anyone disagreeing with their views....I fully expect a backlash with many voting for the Trumpinator.

How on earth the left can defend and put forward a man who came out with the kind of racist and fascist opinions that Biden spouted is totally beyond me!

I feel sorry for the Yanks - talk about a garbage choice.

The Democratic Party is not a left wing party. It may be home to some on the left - Bernie Sanders - but it is really an old fashioned liberal party.

The Don’s winning folks 😁
Source please?

And please don’t say Fox News, Russia Today or Trump’s Twitter feed.

Bit odd as well, bearing in mind voting is still underway.

What’s that I can see on the horizon? Oh it’s red. And it may not be real. In fact it may well be a mirage.
