Husband 8.0 and specsavers fit well in the same thread...those marks make a mockery of the stats
In the League Paper team of the week.Interesting how much our shots on and off target has been improving as the season goes on (early doors, it was woeful) and also didn't expect Ekpiteta to be in our Top 3 but going about his job in a well organised and professional way - well done lad.
In every single game we have missed some absolute sitters, on the positive side we are missing even more now than at the beginning of the season. If we go on in the same vein there is going to be a game where some poor b*ggers are really put to the sword.Biggest and most concerning stat for me is that in 12 league games we've managed just twelve goals. That's the stat that has to rapidly improve. Since the change in formation we've started to create clearer chances but we are simply not clinical enough in front of goal. Failure to take chances can turn victories into draws as could have been the case yesterday.
Posh had 424 accurate passes. Typo above.Passing stats look a bit off. How can we have more accurate passes than the total number of passes? Also was their passing accuracy really that bad? Not a good reflection on them. Great to see we have cut down on the (rather useless practice) of over passing in our own half. We are hurting teams in more dangerous areas now and it’s yielding goals and results.
Cheers and well spotted. I've amended the figures.Posh had 424 accurate passes. Typo above.

Leave it. Even Barca aren’t that good.Cheers and well spotted. I've amended the figures.

We could play a fly goalie.Doesn't say much for either keeper!!

It's odd that the MOM didn't have a save to make. He did play well though.
To be fair, I thought their back 4 and keeper passed it between them for ages to no great effect.Taking the stats as they are, interesting we seemed to have far fewer shots that in the last few games. Goes to show there are other ways to win a game. The one stat that must be wrong is the possession. We had so much of the ball especially after our goal.
Rochdale did the same thing last seasonTo be fair, I thought their back 4 and keeper passed it between them for ages to no great effect.
Sorry Hazi. Our stats are always first. Mis-typed the shots on target and have edited this now. I was still giddy when I was posting.Which team is which? Cod’s had most possession. We had two shots on target??
Totally understandable UTMPSorry Hazi. Our stats are always first. Mis-typed the shots on target and have edited this now. I was still giddy when I was posting.

That’s what it should be like if you go a goal up away from home. Tight.Interesting chances created and shots recorded and on target, both well down despite more possession than some games?
Plus 2 that were 2 inches off target. Fine margins that would mean we wouldn't be squabbling.2 on target against a team that was set up to defend all day. Disappointing systemic failure.
We hit the ** woodwork twice! That's off target in the stats. Your analysis is simplistic in the extreme, trying to make out we are better when you think we do things that you think are right. Our performances haven't varied much all season, and most of the results have been one goal either way. Which is down to chance as much as anything. Results improved when we tightened up at the back. The front 2 front 3 thing has affected things very little if at all.Ok, say we had four there or thereabouts on target...it is still a systemic issue when we need at least 6 chances to be sure of scoring one with the current setup.
Because the 433 games were largely at the start of the season. Without Dougall, Ballard, Gretarsson and familiarity. Results with 442 versus results with 433 don’t suggest you are correct.
I think if you didn't know the score and looked at those stats, I would guess at a tight 0-0.Stats vs Oxford.

Were they though? CJ had a very good game. As did Ward. Those ratings are consistently baffling. The fact our goalkeeper and defenders were our Top 3 players against a side in the Bottom Four doesn't make for good reading!
