OT - burglar alarm and installation recommendations

Ghosts of Electricity

I'm looking at getting one installed, was hoping someone here could recommend somebody who they may know or had one done similar?

I'm after cheap really.

I had a guy round a couple of years ago to sort mine out - Denzil Stephens - sorry lost his number but if you google Denzil Stephens Electrical I think that's his company.

Also, next door had D Spencer round to do CCTV so I assume they do alarms too as they rigged up everything for them including cameras/doorbells etc.

Cheers schalke - were prices reasonable?

Good username by the way, went to the old ground a few times which was mental.

Denzil was - he was only refurbing an existing system but didn't rip me off by stripping it out and replacing it. It works perfectly well so I'm happy.

Only been once to Schalke....and that was for England v Portgugal in 2006....hoping to go to a league game but it could be Bundesliga 2 by the time I get there!

After getting fed up with installed systems, I fitted a Yale wireless system myself. It’s been fantastic and ultra-reliable over the 10 years it’s been installed. When we extended i added additional sensors in minutes. Just looked and around £180 for the kit, more if you want the SMART system, which I don’t think is needed.

Across the road were burgled last night.
Because of lockdown and people staying in / not going to work, the burgling scum are now targeting early hours when people are asleep.
So if you’ve got an alarm with night settings, turn it on. And anyone thinking about getting an alarm system, don’t do it after the event, like most people do.

100%, naturally I imagine burglars check out houses and will target ones without a system in, if anybody breaks in to my place at night the alarm kicks off instantly.

They will then be faced with a well armed raging bull flying down the stairs 😜

Back to the O/P, if you want a quote try Simon Halliwell on 07714 954992, he does mine and he's very good.

The canine alarm is out like a log at nighttime. An earthquake wouldn’t wake her. 😁

Turns out the scumbags did some on the next road as well. Mainly looking for unlocked doors, so be extra vigilant to check that before bed.

Ash Thompson - top local lad - did all the work in The Armfield Club - great personal service, very competitive, knows his technical stuff better than Bill Gates and 100% a Seasider 🧡🧡
