Burnley question??

Was talking to a friend and said first time I went to Burnley we were in the Long side. Then away fans were put in the Cricket end stand. But am sure I remember a night game where the pool fans were put in the Bob Lord stand. My friend says he can't remember us ever being put in there, and he's normally pretty good at remembering stuff like that. So have I dreamt this or is it my imagination playing tricks on me. Have we ever been put in the Bob Lord stand??

Have you any idea what sort of year/ era it was?
Away fans in the Long side till it went and then the cricket field stand as far as I remember.

I vaguely remember being behind the goal in the late 90s... not familiar with which stand is which in their ground so not sure if that's what you mean. I do remember it was a night game and we won... I also got thumped by a Burnley fan on the way back to the car which is why I remember it!!!

We were put in the cricket field stand during Allardyce's time when they were redeveloping the ground 95/6, but never remember being in the Bob Lord even for Manx Cup games.

I was at the night match, late season 90/91. Promotion game for both with around 19,000 in the ground and easily around 5/6000 Pool.
The highlights recently appeared on you tube.

This was the night match during the 90-91 season. The official away seats were in the Bob Lord. The cricket field stand was for home fans but they put the ‘overspill’ from the longside in there.

Sounds feasible. That night in 1991 every man and his dog turned up. We may have had a couple of hundred official seats in the Bob Lord but I can't remember. I ended up in the Cricket Field. We filled the Longside and as you say the overspill then filled the corner of the Cricket Field. Theres highlights of the match on YouTube and at the start of the game there are no Pool fans in the seats behind the goal. When the first few trickled in the Burnley firm behind the goal thought about having a pop, five or ten minutes later when we filled it, they'd changed their minds 😳

When they were rebuilding, they gave us around 800 tickets in the Cricketfield stand.

I was working in Nelson at the time and I got a ticket for the Bob Lord stand with the intention of keeping schtum. All going well until Andy Preece scored and most of the people round me leapt into the air.

Won 1 0.
