Happy St Patricks Day from Mayo
Just out of curiosity lads, how did you come to support Blackpool? Always intrigued to hear how non-Blackpool natives support the mighty, even if its as simple as "my family is from Blackpool"

Whole (older) family is from Mayo- just south of Ballina. I was the first born in the UK.

Not been for a number of years but used to go every year for a week or so.

I'm hoping to persuade the other half to fly to Knock in September (would prefer June), do Mayo, looking at the 'old' places, then head Galway, Westport and the coast to Shannon. I don't think we'll have time to do the ring of Kerry again although it Sneems like a nice place.

Every year on the 16th March we'd receive a package from relatives containing shamrock, and the button hole water vases. it was OK on a weekend but at school the water didn't last long.

Saw Doctors are one of my favourite bands, seen them loads, best gig recently was at Shepherds Bush Empire couple or three years ago. You do notice that fans are of a certain age, mind you, a bit younger than the county cricket crowd but thatโ€™s not much of an achievement. Hope they decide to tour again after this shite is over.

I see the Scousers were at it again yesterday mass gatherings in Sefton Park to celebrate St Patrickโ€™s day.
With social distance measures still in place Police had to be called when things got out of hand when hundreds a of people many who were drinking alcohol became aggressive and abusive and some even throwing missiles at officers so many had to be arrested.
An eye witness said many taking part in the mass gathering appeared to be students some worse for ware through drink.
The police officer in charge described them as โ€˜total idiotsโ€™ and those arrested will be charged with fixed penalty notices for breaking lockdown rules.

Weird question any idea what church she was christened and i can do some research for u mate
I don't mate (but thanks anyway). We only know of her from the various 1800's censuses where it states her place of birth. She married Thomas Sharrock (my Great Great Grandad) and subsequently had Isabella and Mary Margaret (my Great Grandma)...
