One of last night's features was a man in Glasgow who became addicted to Cocaine. It cost him his home and his relationship with his daughter. Thanks to support from clinics and other groups he cleaned himself up and now, back with his daughter, runs a support group for addicts, including a free-meals burger-style van for addicts and rough sleepers. The Red Nose charity helps him to keep his support group going.Yes, if the govt can give handouts to people who have no intention of ever working they shoulf find money for everyone and anything that needs it. Charity involving handing over money should stop.
It's a good idea in principle but a) the government never will, it barely wants to feed schoolchildren let alone charities and b) the charities would rather the government weren't involved. The Govt should fund the support group fully, not rely on the publics cash.
That's true of all governments mate not just the shower of shite we currently have. It's a good idea in principle but a) the government never will, it barely wants to feed schoolchildren let alone charities and b) the charities would rather the government weren't involved.

That was one of many good news stories last night and not one of them featured a hand-out to someone with no intention of ever working.
*loves Hetty Wainthrop ’I've not watched it for years, it never was very funny to begin with, although to be fair that is hardly the point.
Drama channel for us. You can't beat a bit of Hetty Wainthrop, as Jim Bowen almost said.
