ST terms and conditions again!

I’ll make this as short as possible, we as a family had 6 season tickets last season( 3 Adult, 3 children), £1000 was spent, no Live games.
New season ticket prices announce, giving us an “exclusive“price of £70 more than last seasons Adult ST, where we obviously didn’t get what we paid for at all.
This seasons terms state no refunds for behind close door games or reduced capacity events again!
So as a family we again are invited to invest upwards of £1200 pounds for a non guaranteed product?
It just baffles me this, if Oyston had done the same he’d be getting pelters?
Before anyone starts with the “if you don’t like it don’t pay” crap, just think, do you have 1 ticket?, IMO that’s a different ball game.

We had 2 oap, 2 adult and 4 children season tickets. All are renewing. Don’t see a problem.

I think there is a legitimate response which is that your ST income will go to strengthening the club, competing in a higher division.

That's the difference.

There's no doubt it is a risk when there are no refunds. However, i'd say the risk of having another entire season behind closed doors is very low, we have to get back to normal sooner or later, and we will do.

I totally get this, but the disparity between last years ST holders( who put their money up front with zero guarantee, and where laughed at for doing so, I may add), and new sign ups is totally unacceptable IMO, I back the club and new owner to the hilt, but the terms and conditions set out once again are pretty basic to say the least.

All the Championship clubs refunded or froze your ST for a year I'd expect us to do the same if problems.

I think you'd be well within your rights to seek some assurances that if games can't be attended in person foe reasons out of your control, that there is some recourse outside of an iFollow match pass. Especially if you waived any refund or right to pursue a refund last time. It's a lot of money to stump up again without any reassurance.

So £70 more for 6 season tickets!
This equates to roughly £11.66p per ticket. Ignoring cup matches, there are 23 home games which equates to 50p per game so considering we have gone up a division and against some of the big boys is that really too much?
I would call it fair and, “if you don’t like it, don’t buy it” isn’t “crap” as you put it.
No-one is forcing your hand on this issue and you know the risks before buying so if you are not happy, don’t buy.

think you are missing the main point of the o/p. It's not about the extra £70 he will have to fork out for six tickets which seems to be your main focus. The main point of the o/p was about spending 1200 pounds on six season tickets and the possibility of again not seeing a game 'live' because of Covid and any restrictions the Govt may enforce.

We are at a very strange point in time, in history even. None of us know how this plays out from here. Some people appear to think more restrictions will happen, whilst others think any rises in rates etc will be managed without further restrictions as is the case in Bolton, East Lancs and Blackburn with the end game being everyone vaccinated, the clever scientists developing updated vaccines and the issues becoming less risky. After 16 months of having everything we were all looking forward to in our lives being cancelled/re scheduled it is very difficult to purchase anything event based with total confidence. June 14th may improve our confidence levels, the economy needs it to.

If the Stains had done it you would have made a £200 profit as none of us would be going this season due to a lack of a club most likely.🙄

Must admit the thought of watching on ifollow again is not great.

Last year it was just me so it cost just under £12 a home game. This time with 3 of us it'd be £46 😬

And that was last season.
Blackpool did nothing, not even a thank you.
Of course there was a thank you. Ben Mansford was effusive in his praise of the fans putting their hands in their pockets last season at each and every one of the structured dialogue meetings.

He was very grateful and said as much, as was Linton for the fans spending in the online club shop.

Which was behind closed doors and so not said to the whole fanbase.

Anyway, you haven't replied to my reply on the shirt thread where you called me an idiot.

Ben Mansford has said nothing to me regarding season tickets, in fact he said less than nothing when I stood outside the ticket office for 3 hours to sort out my Wembley tickets which could not be booked online even though I’m quite savvy on the ins and outs of the WWW and eticketing!, I spoke in person to Ben, who told me 2000 Blackpool fans had managed to book online, “why do you have a problem”?
Not good IMO!

There is a difference. The Os would have syphoned off the excess amount.

Its not an easy situation all round i get its a large amount of money its not an easy call also the club will invest heavily in players ect for the coming season and no doubt will take a large hit financially if games cant be attended were all sadly in the hands of the dithering mind changing government who move the goal posts at a drop of a hat regardless of peoples long term plans.

The club lost c £3000000.

All the money from last seasons STs was used to fund the team, the team which won promotion.
Next season we are a championship club once again.
All your money, and mine has been reinvested into Blackpool Football Club, as has no doubt, many millions of pounds by the clubs owner.
I am satisfied that I helped in a small way, the club to achieve some success.
I will again be supporting the club by spending money with them whenever possible.
We all should.

So he asked you what problem you had experienced when you tried to book online and you took offence?

Bizarre

I spoke to Ben in a polite manner, he responded in a polite manner, he didn’t in any way try to rectify the problem, he suggested 2000 people had booked their tickets with no problem, he then implied the problem was mine or/ everyone else’s problem stood in the line( the line which was waiting to BUY tickets for a Wembley occasion which as season ticket holders we should have been able to buy easily and without fuss online, as we were instructed to do so), not stand in line for 3 hours for the privelidge to be told you may get a ticket!!!!, does that cover it or may I go on.
oh and Angel BFC, when did I take offence?, at no point did I take offence, as non was given, by Ben or anyone for that matter.

Jesus Christ. Get over yourself. You’re choosing to buy a ticket or you’re not. The club aren’t in control of the pandemic and if you can’t go to a match because of it the worse that happens to you is you don’t get to watch a game of football in person. The club however loses millions more and the people you’re criticising have to start telling their colleagues and friends they’re potentially out of a job.

If you can’t afford the risk then don’t take it. But don’t lash out at the club who are taking a sensible and clear approach aimed at protecting themselves in the present and in the future.

Whine all you like but I for one am happy the club upsetting the likes of you now will ensure my kids get to watch a game of football at Bloomfield Road in the future.

Oh and I’ve bought 2 season tickets today. As I did last year. If I don’t go again this year I’ll be gutted but my club and my community survives.

But it's all very one sided isn't it?

Can I just add please, for the record, Mr Manford wasn’t very helpful for me personaly, but came across as a very articulate and nice guy, and upon speaking to him I’m more than happy that he has a big role in BFC!!!
That is to his credit!

When you stated that Ben had said “less than nothing “ to you during your discussion when you were in the queue I assumed you had taken offence .

Apologies if I got it wrong

Yes ok, you did get it wrong, but no offence, he (Ben) was just fighting fires I think, didn’t help that I had to run from the line as a traffic lady was about to slap a ticket on my car 😂😂😂😂😂, you couldn’t make it up pal.

Jeez, who are you, the Queen?
Do you want a personal response for everything.
Perhaps they should pipe you into the ticket office when required or have a 21 gun salute when you buy a pie ffs...

Honestly, some people.....we all invest our hard earned money but it's our choice....your choice.
Does your local supermarket send you thanks, or your gas and electric suppliers or the council ?
Do the heck.

*please note any critising of the club is now banned on AVFTT and insults like "**" "wanker" etc will be thrown your way if you don't comply....

**based on personal experience
Based on the fantastic job they do, the massive improvements made in such a short space of time, the impressive manager, I could go on...
I think it's poor form to criticize individual problems or issues you have...

What do you think the club should do regarding the insecurity of the World wide pandemic?
You may have spent a grand of your hard earned money, many more have. You may not have been able to take your seat at BR but the players still played, you watched and 100% celebrated like the rest of us...now you complain.
Players and staff wages needed paying, the pitch needed tending to, the bills kept coming in ...
I'd suggest Mr Saddler has paid out at least a fiver more than you to watch his team, our team, my team and your team play this season.
Get behind them, support them, buy a pie or a brew at the ground...at least now you know your money is going where it should...I shake my head, I really do..

I can see both sides of this one, it's a shame it can't be debated without the usual low level abuse. £1200 is a lot to shell out when there are no guarantees. You can choose not to, but you lose out by doing so. It's a very difficult decision. If other clubs are providing some guarantees, freezing tickets or providing refunds, we can ask the question as to why this club isn't surely? And yet the club is facing a tough situation, whilst performing well and providing success and enjoyment. At the end of the day the club is doing its best and we each have to decide how to buy into that during this unprecedented situation. Some will go all in with a ST and take the hit if we can't go, others will pay by the match and maybe miss some games to balance out the overall cost, and risk not getting tickets, or get worse seats. The club has made its decision, we have a choice. It's possible that attendances will be restricted in the winter so buying a ST gives you much more chance of getting in. It's also possible that booster vaccinations will give us normality back, but maybe not until late Autumn or something.

Most Championship clubs offered nothing before the start of last season no guarantees they just started selling ST as per normal. 🙄

When it was clear you couldn't attend then they offered refunds or your ticket frozen for next year no way would the Ifollow deal have been accepted when most are paying around 400 and above.

Our club put the Ifollow deal into the terms or they would have had to do what Championship clubs did and refund us I can't see an issue we will get our money back if stopped from going.

Voy is it not a bit cringe though to ask the question ?

Sadler took over a complete basket case and has lost millions and continues to pump money in. The club is highly unlikely to break even in the near future and it needs deep pockets to enable it to continue.

Any argument to suggest he knew what he was taking on doesn't cut any ice as know once could have foreseen covid.

He was extremely grateful for the support shown last season and made it clear why it was so important .

Other clubs may not have had the significant problems we have and have not required the huge investment our owner has had to make.

We shouldn't forget that our owner stepped in at a critical time and paid good money for the club not the £1 Owen did . He took a huge risk and I think that those that can afford to buy a season ticket should do so and take a risk albeit one that is considerably less of one from the one Sadler took in the summer of 2019

Cringe? I don't think so. Everyone's circumstances are different and Simon Sadlers are unusual. He took a big risk buying the club from the Oystons and we are hugely grateful. Ordinary people with ordinary budgets gave to weigh up their own circumstances and constraints. And we all have different relationships with the club. We all have to weigh up the situation and decide what's best for us and it's not straight forward. I haven't criticized the club, which has made it's own decisions in its own interests and I have no problem with that.

Make your mind up.
In your previous post you stated that Ben said “less than nothing” and now your saying you had a full blown conversation with him.
You also said he told you it was your fault which you described as unprofessional and now you are saying he “implied” it was your fault.
I would love to know the real version because obviously you are incapable of providing us with that. I wonder if you actually spoke to him at all and are just a bit of an attention seeker but have failed miserably in your attempt.
