Blackpool now included in extra support for Indian variant. Presumably brought to the town by visitors from Lancashire areas already with this new variant. People who should not have been travelling outside their areas. Makes me furious, everyone is affected by this selfish behaviour, restrictions continued, businesses affected, its time to go back to local lockdowns.

That's a lie and you know it. I've been uptown every weekend and we walk on the prom pretty much every day and our Asian visitors tend to keep to themselves and stay on the Prom or beach. The vast vast majority of people in Blackpool were definitely not Asian and certainly they weren't the ones queueing to get into bars, eateries and the attractions.

Lazy posting.

The town has gone from being one of the best areas in the country for infection rates to one now it’s having to receive special attention.
One of the wonders of being a holiday resort. 🙄

No it’s not. South prom has been full of them having picnics. We live 3 roads back from the prom and EVERY weekend for the last 4-5 our street has been rammed with cars full of Asian families, who also think it’s acceptable to leave all their shit (sometimes literally) behind.
Yeah my sister has been ranting about this. Sorry to upset the Reich Volk Woke brigade but it is predominantly Asian families according to her.

Can someone explain how an Asian family who tend to stay outside in their own family bubbles is spreading Covid more than a white family from Blackburn say who have visited all the attractions, shops, pubs, food venues etc and been into contact with loads.

From my own pretty limited experience the Delta variant seems to be transmitting rapidly within the younger age groups in Blackpool / Fylde. So perhaps just a case of a) not being vaccinated and b) being more socially active.

I’m aware of quite a number of them and most do not seem to be Asian.

Hardly rammed. Having picnics in the open air on an expansive prom and really large beach. Meanwhile non Asian visitors are queueing to get in Maccies etc etc. Cramming on to trams, some with no masks on and yet you don't feel the need to comment on them.

Next you’ll show me the “racist” card!

We have heavily edited and are now closing this thread as it has deteriorated enough. Thanks to those of you who brought it to our attention.
