Does the guy know what a commentator's job is? He absolutely ripped Jordan Gabriel apart today, just like he did with Marvin and Husband in other games. I don't mind him telling listeners someone is having a bad game, but raising questions over a player's ability, his temperament and his integrity is way above a commentator's pay grade. Someone needs to tell him he's not Blackpool's coach.

Not often one to care enough but I am going to complain in this case. It was petty and a bit strange.

You would presume listening to him that he never had a stinker in his career. At a quick google, it looks like the pinnacle of his career was Chorley so that seems unlikely.

Disproportionate reaction, especially when commenting on a young player who consistently shows a great attitude and bags of talent. I can live without him summarising us again.

Ridiculous. Refreshing to hear a commentator actually voice an opinion. Just because you don’t agree doesn’t mean he can’t give his opinion. What sort of wet wipe world would we live in if we can’t cope with someone thinking something different to ourselves

You're missing the point. He doesn't just give opinions on how players are performing, but makes personal attacks on them.

Certain things he's right about, however he was way over the top today with our two fullbacks. He was absolutely correct in his assessment of Gabriel and Husband giving their wide players too much space and not stopping crosses..
However, the character assassination was bang out of order, baring in mind he's coached James Husband at Huddersfield and Fleetwood it came across as a personal grudge.

One thing I am sure about is that this team play as one and Gabriel will have been embraced by the manager and his team mates. He doesn't need to be told he fucked up, he knows that. This team will rally round him and he will be a better player for it. I do think that Dujon is the better defender, but before today Gabriel would be one of the first names on the team sheets. It is upsetting because we had 3 points in the bag today, but we are all growing together and we will be stronger for it.

As a review of the game I thought Anderson and Yates were MOM, Madine was excellent and Bowler and Carey excellent. Marv and Gret's were great until the sending off and Gabriel & Hubby struggled all game, probably because Anderson & Bowler weren't protecting them, they were too busy rampaging forward.

I herd him say. Yates has been absolutely brilliant, Madine is brilliant , Anderson is man of the match by a mile , Grimshaw doesn’t deserve 3 in his goal , Keough is a great professional, Critchley is a really good coach , I’ve worked with Husbsnd he’s usually better at stopping crosses than this > When Husband started to do this he said that’s much better from Husband. The team were in charge and In control. He said Gabriel had a poor game , didn’t stop a cross , had his positioning wrong and his sending off changed so many things. What on earth did he say wrong to suggest any of the above wasn’t 100% correct. Of course he changed his tune , the events changed , the score line changed and the outcome changed. I thought he was super fair. Let’s not forget how positive he was when we were winning. Don’t be sore losers. He was spot on imo

He was spot on with his assessment of Gabriel not stopping any crosses into box. We need to take that on board in training. Everything else was way above toxic level criticism and I wouldn’t want someone of his negative attitude anywhere near Bloomfield Rd. We have a good team spirit and he would dismantle that in a heartbeat. Gabriel for one, would never appear in tangerine again if it was up to this idiot.

You have got it completely wrog. The man is a tactless cretin and was hellbent on character assassinatio…

See above. Yates brilliant , Madine Brilliant, Anderson outstanding, Critchley Great, Dougall superb , fans amazing, Grimshaw great with his feet, Husband can do better when he did he couldn’t speak highly enough of him , what a shift Yates he’s put in one of best championship centre forward performances I have seen he said , scoring playing well and dropping into midfield to help. Has the odd honest criticisms hurt some of you. He was more than fair and said some amazing things about our players and head coach. He couldn’t find much to say about Gabriel and neither could we but that’s all you remember ? Get over it , it was someone who clearly knows football doesn’t support us clearly telling the truth. You’d think Yates would get in next England squad if you heard Eyre today. Get over it. We lost a game we should have comfortably won that’s all

His first half comments about how good we were I think were also off we were good for our lead, but it was a close game. His comments about Gabriel kind of show why he hasn't gone very far in the game, and probably won't go very far as a pundit either

Didn’t hear anything as I was at the match as per usual.
I can fully understand peoples outrage if this is true?
Do you’ve got the following options really, Either
1. Turn off volume
2. Don’t watch or
3. Actually go to the match.

He only said Gabriel had a poor game , has poor positioning , has so much to learn but has the right coach to help. He also said he has superb Athletic attributes but his sending off changed so many things today. Credit to the other ten who were all playing well. Get over it. a) that isn’t bad b) it’s completely the truth.

He said its a good game , the scoreline is just about right , could have been more with Keshi’s header miss and Blackpool look good to extend or not concede. Me and my mates picked up on this as exactly as we saw it. Sadly the second half was sabotage by ourselves.

He also said what a shame the two centre forwards are off the pitch at the end of the game coz they were brilliant and Bowler was brilliant at getting the team up the pitch with penitration. Another big miss coz of the sending off. Yet again he was right

Totally agree with this , this is what the commentary guys said also , and is completely the way it is. Great post

… is pretty much a failure at everything he’s done. Let’s not also forget he had a right go at Husband in the first half and weirdly even referred ‘to his time at Fleetwood’ where am pretty sure he never played!!

He definitely said he’s coached him and knows he can stop crosses better. When Husband started doing this we were happy and so was he. Get over it. We lost a game we should have won. Masters of our own downfall

Only caught the last 35 mins on radio today as was in the car.

The guy was an absolute fuckin helmet. No wonder he’s currently unemployed. If he spoke to players like that in the dressing room they would think he’s an absolute cock. The character assassination of Gabriel showed him up for the clueless ** he is. He mentioned them giving him space early on but made a point as if to suggest that they did so as he thought he was shit. He’s clearly not done his homework on us or seen Gabriel starring recently. He might have fucked up but so many players do at times. For someone in the game it was ridiculous. Way over the top.

I need to also say that Ian Chisnall is a depressing bastard. He can’t wait for people to make mistakes and pile in on them. He’s a Blackpool fan but he’s so negative it’s unbelievable & today he didn’t have positive Brett with him he had some fellar who either is a poor judge of player or found out Jordan Gabriel was texting his daughter. You could hear the buzz in Chisnall’s voice. A real cretin that guy.

The best bit about these two bellends was, they spent 20 mins solid slagging off Gabriel for letting people down, being poor and the best one “not doing his job properly”. They then spent a good 3 minutes trying to establish how we could make a 4th sub. Useless.

Chisnall is an absolute shit commentator and an Oyston bumboy.

How anyone can think he’s a good commentator is beyond me.

All fall down, he’s awol… getting to know his local geography…. Just fuck off.

The end.

Funny. Eyre was great when we won at Middlesbrough. No complaints then. Funny game. Chis is Chis you’d miss him if he left. Get on to the Hull game quickly guys. Let’s move on

He was bang on the money today. I love Gabriel but he cost us that game. I did wonder whether a couple of players will end up testing positive in the next couple of games though.

Nothing to do with that at all. We were winning 2-1 when I started listening and I immediately thought this guy is a cock.

Chisnall makes numerous mistakes in every game but then criticises player’s for the same. He’s useless.

I mean he was even trying to suggest Gabriel’s body shape. Ian Chisnall advising a championship footballer who cost £650,000 when he doesn’t even know why we can make 4 subs.

He is a total **.

Tbf Eyre doesn’t watch Gabriel every week like us and has no other reason to tell the truth on what he saw today. The fact there is a thread on how poor Jordan played today speaks for itself. The guy told the truth in a one off game for him saying what we’re all saying. He clearly wanted us to win and said the other ten played well. So what if he said one of our players didn’t play well. Guess what ? He didn’t.

He also said Madine and Yates were brilliant so is Critchley and keshi was outstanding. He’s well in credit

Nope that’s 100% correct but he majorly doubted his playing ability repeatedly off 60 minutes of football. If you’re going to slag a professional footballer off then you need to know a bit about them.

If you’ve seen Gabriel this season, you will know he’s been excellent, so much so, we are better than when Sterling plays ahead of him. So you can say he’s struggled or they’ve exposed him today, or he’s not been at the races but to criticise and question his ability is stupid. To say he doesn’t know how to defend, or they let him be the spare man because and I quote “after seeing him play now I know why” is a fuckin whopper comment.

It was like a shit Roy Keane. Except Roy Keane knows the game.

Oh and guess what, I reckon he coached Grimshaw in his City days because he kept saying he’d been excellent and then says “he’s not made a save today”… fuckin hell brilliant one Steve.

Perfect match with Chisnall. Two wankers giving each other a depressing tug off.

The 4 subs commentary debacle was embarrassing for Child in particular.

When you pay 10 pounds to watch a game online, you expect the commentator to at least know what the ** rules are.

But who gets to be lucky Pierre? 😗

I think it is safe to assume that, somewhere along the way, Mr Eyre's application for the engagement of his professional services has not passed muster at BFC 🏝️😂

Just tell us what you really think instead of holding back....😏

It should. He praised ten players , the manager , and suggested one player can do better because he knows him and celebrated it when he did and suggested one other player had a poor game (he did) but has good athletic attributes and a good coach who can help him as he’s a young player learning. Let’s not forget Eyre isn’t at Bloomfield Road every other Saturday at 5pm when Gabriel comes to our goal and starts flirting with us wanting us to sing his name. He was merely there reporting on us honestly. Saying ten played well , some brilliant and one was poor I think he gave fair summary.

So you joined this site 2 hours after today's game. You must be Eyre or his mum. You seem to be going out of your way to defend him when everyone can see what a vindictive arse he is.

The man has plenty of form this season. I recall him in one game saying Ekpiteta wasn't a Championship player. He's crucified Husband in other games and today he was making out that Gabriel was a crap full back and couldn't cut out crosses because his body shape was wrong when he tackled or intercepted. That's an insult to Neil Critchley as much as the player. He must have been a crap manager if he spoke to his players like that.

I raised it on the commentary thread. The guy is a buffoon shouldnt be anywhere near a management or leadership role with a football club.

He really annoyed me with his analysis after. Very harsh on Gabriel who he Made out to have a stinker. Silly twunt

The commentary is from Radio Lancashire is it not.Not the football club. And I bet many of us had no idea about the 4 sub thing…i certainly didn’t.
Thought there was some kind of concussion sub rule.

The Club choose to take the commentary from Lancs. Until Lancs employ someone who knows the rules, perhaps the Club should use an alternative outlet or provide its own. The fact that many of us didn’t know about it is totally irrelevant, we are not commentating on a game where people pay 10 a pop to watch it.

The thing is, Chisnall regularly fucks up on Comms. During the ‘behind closed doors’ times I watched him think Ipswich had hit it wide and he even said “Maxwell watches it go past his post”… to about 30 seconds later realising they had scored when we were kicking off.

Him and Brett spent at least 2 minutes one home game working out why we had a goal disallowed, I can’t remember the game but it was embarrassing.

He can’t wait to slag players off, but he is absolutely useless at his own job. It is embarrassing how bad he is. Constantly gets players names wrong, tactical changes etc.

Then he’s got the cheek to slag off a professional footballer on his defensive body shape.

Sort your shit out first Chisnall, never forget his “get off the pitch you idiots” v Huddersfield,

Blackpool need to get an in-house commentary team and fuck this bellend off. Someone would probably do it voluntary.

I thought Eyre was right with Gabriel, he has coached to a reasonable level and was honest with his opinions. He also pointed out that his Husband has a tendency to make unnecessary rash challenges, has he coached him at Fleetwood he knows his weakness. But he also praised the Blackpool players that did well.

I remember listening to Eyre on Lancs one day and he was bigging himself up about him getting one over on Neil Warnock as a manager one time. I then looked up his stats and this must have been the highlight of his career as he's done very little anywhere either as a player or a manager. His football career is just a nothingness. Calling him a poor man's Neil McDonald is probably a compliment

Who wants a manager like that?
Seen them throughout the leagues. They ruin any team spirit and end up with a bunch of disgruntled individuals looking for a way out.
They always end up getting potted with the team below where they should be.
He would be almost as destructive as a no.2.
