Good to know we're not alone in this feeling on the nobbers
It wasn't even our decision to limit away fans, it was ott police due to a few things thrown at games etc. Also last time we played they invaded the pitch, they tend to forget that, so that probably played a part as well in the police not wanting them near our north stand. Plus when we played them there was obviously extra demand to fill the east bit near where some of your fans got the extra ones.
Unfortunately we are left with a stadium thats built with a lack of ambition from the previous owners but we will have an East stand in the pipeline, but these things don't just throw themselves up overnight.
But because of that limited capacity when we sold out all 3 sides, we were clearly going to prioritise our own fans for the other side of the East. The away end holds about 2200 and clubs only get more if there's no home demand to fill the other side.
Segregation has been ridiculous also with some clubs using a line of stewards yet we had 2 full blocks and a media section between fans in our East stand, police again, against PNE. Yet some of them claimed it that was still dangerous.
Yet now it's suddenly OK to have us and them in their away end. I hope there's no trouble as it would make a petty decision to put fans in the same stand look reckless then.
Obviously the nobbers spat their dummies out and have no such issues at thier stadium, yet want to be petty anyway. Risdale has played to his audience.
Anyway, enjoyed our game against Blackburn, tough game, a game of 2 halves and Bloomfield was bouncing, especially near the end.
I think Mowbray upset some by praising the atmosphere.
Am looking forward to bringing a big following to Ewood.
