Wow, he’s never stood in the old west stand in Division 4. Anyway why aren’t we signing RamseyBeen making a whopper out of himself all night on Twitter.
Clearly wasn't around in transfer windows controlled by our previous resigm with a complete lack of strategy or infrastructure.
Perfect example of an Under 30 I want it all now football fan who's grown up with nothing but the PremierLeague.
a totalSo who’s this guy?
I’m in my early 30s and I’ve never understood the “want everything now” brigade. Had a season ticket from 93 as a wee one and grew up through all the shit football in the 90s and was of the mentality that was what Blackpool FC was and I was still happy to go week in week out to see my team play. It was a dream when we got to the Championship in 07 and couldn’t even believe it when we made the Prem. Couldn’t be happier with what Sadler and the club as a whole are doing. It makes me immensely proud.Been making a whopper out of himself all night on Twitter.

The other way to look at it is that we didn't pay over our valuation for the player. The bloke is right though
We have failed to get our top target in and have pished about with bids that didn't match his valuation
And we are weaker in midfield than when we started the season
Them the facts ...
Good god he’s under 25. More oil of Olay requiredHe's a grade one knob.
So is his brother.
both are under 25
We have progressed though. We’ve got rid of a load of shite. This now means we are primed for summer.People are allowed to be pissed off we have gone backwards in this windows. It’s very small time from people to be that happy we have kept Bowler.
Superb player but no one would have been arsed a month ago.
At some point we need to get out of this proper small club mentality where you have to be happy we kept someone.
People want progress and you can do that in the January window.
We’ve got a decent creative midfielder in Sonny Carey who very unfortunately is injured, but will be absolutely key next season. As for a decent creative CM, they're not exactly numerous, we're better off waiting until the summer.
On the plus side though you were completely wrong in the transfer thread when you told us all we were a selling club who would let Bowler go for 1.5 million. The bloke is right though

Yep.We’ve got a decent creative midfielder in Sonny Carey who very unfortunately is injured, but will be absolutely key next season.
I think those pissed off are in the minority and those not arsed about Bowler a month ago were also not arsed about Critchley either, and that was because we were on a run of bad form like most clubs have. We’re in a good league position to steady ourselves and push on next season with good signings over the summer. We now have a squad of 25+ players who could all do a job and with injured players to return, what is pleasing to see this window is that 4 players have been taken off the payroll who simply wouldn’t have got anywhere near the playing squad.People are allowed to be pissed off we have gone backwards in this windows. Pointless arguing with him. If we’d have sold Bowler and replaced him with Morgan Rogers whilst bringing Brannagan in, that would have been wrong too.On the plus side though you were completely wrong in the transfer thread when you told us all we were a selling club who would let Bowler go for 1.5 million.
It's not small time at all, turning down multiple bids of millions for a player is absolutely progress from what we're used to.People are allowed to be pissed off we have gone backwards in this windows. It’s very small time from people to be that happy we have kept Bowler.

I think it's more the fact we actually clearly desperately wanted a CM hence the 70 players linked, 15 bids for Brannigan and a handful for Norburn. All very peculiar and there's no way on this planet that they'll have been happy with this window "because they kept Bowler".It's not small time at all, turning down multiple bids of millions for a player is absolutely progress from what we're used to.
You can progress in this window but more often than not you don't, clubs bid over the top to try and satisfy an entitled fanbase. I'd prefer we have the odd 'gone backwards' whinge than lob money for the sake of it.
We had a valuation for players, if clubs don't accept that and we pull out that seems like an actual policy, which is progress again.
Nah, seen a LOT of people who moaned about Bowler and now going mental happy he has stayed.I think those pissed off are in the minority and those not arsed about Bowler a month ago were also not arsed about Critchley either, and that was because we were on a run of bad form like most clubs have. Mitchell has done it at League one level too. So you cannot say he is an upgrade. We have progressed though. We’ve got rid of a load of shite. This now means we are primed for summer.
Brought in Beesley and Kirk, upgrades on Mitchell and nobody else.
Re: Bowler, anyone who understood football knew how good he was months ago, loads of threads to back this up. Those that didn’t look rather daft now we’re getting 3 million pound bids for him.
No doubts we needed a centre midfield, the Brannagan saga has been painful no doubt about it, but I think the Squad isn’t as top heavy now. I would call that progress.
Pressure is on in summer, as we need to kick on.
Do you know the reasons why he didn’t go?On the plus side though you were completely wrong in the transfer thread when you told us all we were a selling club who would let Bowler go for 1.5 million.
Has Mitchell really done it at League 1 level? 1 goal? He played well a few times last year but he’s not achieved what Kirk has at that level, so I would say it’s an upgrade.Mitchell has done it at League one level too. So you cannot say he is an upgrade.
Strike force wasn't a priority. Central midfield was. Which, considering we lost one of our most consistent performers and turned out to be one of the first few names on the team sheet. We've gone backwards. Which is fine and we're safe but it suggests we're content with that and whatever happens the rest of the season happens.
They wanted Brannigan and were prepared to pay decent money for him.
And that's fine but my overall point is, we haven't seen progression in terms of quality as I don't remotely agree with your point about Mitchell/Kirk.Has Mitchell really done it at League 1 level? 1 goal? He played well a few times last year but he’s not achieved what Kirk has at that level, so I would say it’s an upgrade.
Of course we needed a 4th striker and an additional option to Madine, to compliment the other two.
I agree about central midfield and Wintle but I would also say that our preferred formation generally has two sitting midfielders with a reliance on wingers and forwards to create. We have 4 players who can do this. With Kirk and Dale we also have the option to tuck Anderson (when fit) into the number 10 role if we want to play 3 in there. I do think if we were a couple of points off the play offs or above or in the drop we would have pushed the boat out but looks like we’ve decided on waiting till summer.
Why are we offering 1 million for him if we don't rate him? And if we're offering 1M for him and 350k for Norburn at the same time, why won't we go to 1.25M for Brannigan? If Brannagan is all that good how come there weren't several clubs clamouring for his signature ? As far as I'm aware both in the summer and this window we are the only club who have tried to sign him . Just find it puzzling .
Fair enough, we’ll see if Kirk is an upgrade. It’s a fairly low bar.And that's fine but my overall point is, we haven't seen progression in terms of quality as I don't remotely agree with your point about Mitchell/Kirk.
And they wanted to pay for quality clearly. So people are allowed to be disappointed in a lack of progression.
