Now there's a good idea.

From Ed Miliband.
100,000 trade union reps with health and safety training could be utilised to advise businesses on risk assessments for making the workplace as covid19 safe as possible. It would be a massive improvement on Boris Johnson's waffle and lack of guidance.

Would certainly make a good adjunct on the HSE and Environmental Health guys who are going to be run off their feet. And, ala NHS, call up retired H&S advisors. I read the guidelines for retail this morning, fairly straightforward to someone with years of H&S training, though with a few strange items like NO additional PPE required, expecting distancing to be perfect. Also said to use normal cleaning materials with no additional PPE, personally I will expect to use more aggressive stuff with correct PPE.

So close to making a sensible post, but just couldn't resist putting the second sentence in there.

You hear Cat, you just don't want to listen. Why? Because you're just full of hate. That simple really.

I’m glad you cleared that up 20’s. For a moment there I really thought that Boris had been guilty of waffle and lack of guidance. I can relax and enjoy the rest of my day now before travelling to the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales tomorrow

No point doing both National Parks in just one day. Just do one of them one day and the other the next. You see that's stating the obvious. It' s called common sense.. Have a nice day whichever park you choose to do.

Thanks for that though I’m not sure that you’ve factored in the extra costs in diesel and pollution if I do two trips instead of one.

Don't get too worried about that, I'm sure you can afford the cost and the pollution in the atmosphere seems to be a lot better due to the recent lockdown. Enjoy it anyway. Do you need any help or advice on where specifically you should head to?

Petrol is down to under a quid a litre and a shade over for diesel I saw today. 😁

The worry then is the government may be looking to contract with the likes of Serco or G4S to use less skilled/less experienced or untrained staff to do this?
That is already what they are doing with their non existent track and trace plans. One wonders how the Tory donating companies like Serco keep getting contracts considering the damage they have done at the DWP, probation, immigration detention centres and prison services.
