I think you might be rightI have a feeling it will be Karl Robinson...
Just like the links we had into Liverpool.Ian Evatt interview: Blueprint for rebuilding Bolton, his philosophies, long-term visions and promotion hopes
Sky Sports exclusive: Ian Evatt discusses his blueprint for rebuilding Bolton, his philosophies, long-term visions for the club and their promotion aims.www.skysports.com
Decent interview with Evatt, think he would he my choice.
Carrick would be a gamble, but the United link could help us get some decent loans. Last year Garner, Chong and Laird all did well in the Championship.
The club arnt going to forget that he played silly buggers with them to leverage a new contract at Oxford.I have a feeling it will be Karl Robinson...
It’s unclear for what length but Manning is under contract with MK and would cost something. Some of these pool will need to pay comp , so I can’t see anyone coming from another club , pool have no money apparently
so it will another random type , someone we don’t know about like Neil was
if I had to pick , i like the idea of Liam manning
I've gone Evo, does he not fall in to that category?None of the above....let's have another young ambitious manager looking to prove himself. Some of those mentioned are well passed their sell by date.
I agree Manning would be my choiceLiam Manning please
The thing with manning is , he is very similar to Neil , worked with young players from academy’s and youth sets ups , it’s what Simon wants isn’t it , work with younger players give them a chance , pick them from lower leaguesIt’s unclear for what length but Manning is under contract with MK and would cost something.
I didn’t actually realise how young he was. At 36 I’m really not a fan of him walking into a Championship dressing room with the likes of Madine, Keogh, Keshi etc he never played above non league level. I could see that turning very bad very quickly.
I think it worked for him this year at MK because he had a very young squad with a fair bit of money spent on players like Twine and Eisa.
Just have a bad feeling about him with us.
Very possible that we go for that type I agree. The thing with manning is , he is very similar to Neil , worked with young players from academy’s and youth sets ups , it’s what Simon wants isn’t it , work with younger players give them a chance , pick them from lower leagues
Why are you a sad virgin ???? Questions questions questionsWhy is simon Grayson not on there? He would be my vote.
You need to get past the no money thing, it’s a mythSome of these pool will need to pay comp , so I can’t see anyone coming from another club , pool have no money apparently

Hope your right , I be glad your right lol , I just don’t still get the under standing of it allYou need to get past the no money thing, it’s a myth
I doubt that myself.I have a feeling it will be Karl Robinson...
He might well be considered actually? If he is prepared to come back up here. Might be, for the main job. He knows the club set up and a lot of the players. Just won't want to be away from home full time, I suspect.I’d have thought Colin Calderwood would have been top of everyone’s list….
Jose MourinhoIt’s unclear for what length but Manning is under contract with MK and would cost something.

Maybe. Maybe not. He applied last time, and is a Blackpool legend. He may prefer to carry on his current job, but we are a Championship club and one he loves. And he's had some crap off Notlob fans. I know a few. With all due respect, there's no way you'll get Evatt, his relationship with the Chairman and fans is insurmountable, and again with respect, Bolton are a bigger club than Blackpool, I wouldn't be hanging your hats on Evatt jumping ship.
He's not to my knowledge given any crap from our fans, they love him for his commitment.Maybe. Maybe not. He applied last time, and is a Blackpool legend. No !!I've gone Evo, does he not fall in to that category?
Not sure any of them walked into a team of seasoned pros at 36, my point was, he’s going to have to move mountains to gain the respect of the players with that background.Jose Mourinho
Arsene Wenger
Rafael Benitez
Julian Nagelsmann
Thomas Tuchel
Maurizio Sarri
Juande Ramos
Sven-Goran Eriksson
Luiz Felipe Scolari
Arrigo Sacchi
Guy Roux
Gerard Houllier
Louis van Gaal
Roy Hodgson
Bill Struth
Andre Villas Boas
All were great great players
Those are my 2 preferences from what’s being discussed.Mowbray and Manning missing from the poll, both get my vote depending on requirements ie safe pair of hands or up and coming
The point is simple - managing is not playing. Not sure any of them walked into a team of seasoned pros at 36, my point was, he’s going to have to move mountains to gain the respect of the players with that background.
And the list of managers you’ve never heard of who couldn’t cut management with a crappy playing record is probably almost infinite.
I’d rather not this Manning experiment.
It may not have come across due to how I worded it but that wasn’t really what I was getting at, it was just an add on issue I see being a problem. The point is simple - managing is not playing.
Some people make the jump many do not - so hence I am reluctant to rule anyone out if they were not great players.
