Would love this to happen, if Simms is available for £500k then that is a no brainer depending on his wage demands!
 
Wages would likely make this a no-go, already on £10,000+ p/w at Everton, would want an uplift to move here, £15,000 p/w plus fee moves him well outside of our budget.

I wonder if we could compete by being creative and offer him a % of any profits from any future sell on fee?

Gives him an incentive to perform well and we potentially make a nice profit too, win win, but what do I know. 😁 🤔

I doubt he would want (expect) an uplift considering he’ll be moving to a lower league, I do think he will expect the same wage mind.

If the 500k rumours are true then we know that is a bargain for the player you would be getting, I think stretching to 10k a week would be fair
 
This seems very, very unlikely. I would think his wages put him out of our range, especially if other Champ clubs want him.

We don't know exactly what he's on at Everton, only that his "five-figure weekly salary" is well beyond what Hearts could pay him.

Personally, I don't think he is as good as some on here seem to think, and breaking the bank to get him feels to me a poor move.
 
Would be a great signing at this level if personal terms could be agreed. Think he’ll end up in SPL or with a Championship club with bigger pockets than us. Would love to see him sign for Blackpool – very good player with huge potential.

Rangers are splashing the cash and rolling the dice as to hopefully getting past qualification to CL group stage which will pay for itself if they get through we can't compete on that level.

Hopefully Rangers are looking at proven CL strikers to add to the ones they’ve already signed. Ellis might be a gamble for them.
