still a big part of the culture of the club - there were some discussions a while ago about dropping the requirement, the fans wouldnt even consider it.I didn’t realise they still enforced that!

Questions, no Googling:why is Athletic Bilbao's name is as it is and why do they play in red and white stripes and black shorts? Costero Poderoso will no doubt know.
any idea when and against who3 games planned and a good night watching the Basque Derby on Friday night.
the origins of the club is the connection to sunderland and dock workers, the club was originally founded by english mostly sunderland natives. someone explained to me a while ago that the basque only rule came in to keep english players out, how true that is i dont knowQuestions, no Googling:why is Athletic Bilbao's name is as it is and why do they play in red and white stripes and black shorts? Are the u18s back in time to play Bolton this Saturday (6 Aug)?3 games planned and a good night watching the Basque Derby on Friday night.
The Basque only, cantera, has been an unwritten rule for over 100 years. Con cantera y afición, no hace falta importación - with homegrown talent and local support, there's no need for imports.any idea when and against who

another interesting fact is that Atletico Madrid was founded by Bilbainos who had moved to Madrid, which is the reason AM play in red and white stripes as well
What I remember reading is that there weren't enough kits to go around and one of their( Athletic) directors or someone at the club went to the UK and was tasked with getting kits for their players, including the then Athletic branch in Madrid, which founded by Basque students in Madrid, Any, the said person was on his way back to Bilbao, empty handed and was in Southampton to get the ferry back and went to a Southampton match and got the kits from them. Yes, the Madrid branch chose to continue with their blue shorts but both wore the same shirts.any idea when and against who

You can check it out.
