Same as Suddick’s Ghost - born in St Anne’s Hospital (Memorial Hospital?) 24 hours before we won the Cup. Lived with Mum & Dad in South Shore until Dad moved to Essex and then Coventry for work. Never lost my roots though and the smell of the sea when I come up for home games is such a tonic.

Beach Road prima, then St. Theresas , then Holy Jo’s. Think I’ve got them all, but not entirely sure.

My early years living in a prefab on Forshaw Avenue , they were freezing in winter ,
That certainly toughened you up .
Layton , Kent Road , Stanley Park,
Great memories of the halcyon days of Blackpool.

"Right. I had to get up in the morning at ten o'clock at night half an hour before I went to bed, drink a cup of sulphuric acid, work twenty-nine hours a day down mill, and pay mill owner for permission to come to work, and when we got home, our Dad and our mother would kill us and dance about on our graves singing Hallelujah"

Born Blackpool Vic, grew up in Kirkham and Blackpool (Withnell Road). Loved living in Blackpool as a kid but my parents were less keen!
