What match will that be ?Hope weather clears up for you, lovely place. Whitby Town Fc good ground near the sea front if you fancy a match.
22 nowI've never been anywhere with as many Fish & Chip shops in such a small area in my life, I wonder how many there actually are. We only visited for the day when we were camped at Scarborough. Was allowed on the footplate on the Station at Whitby .

Codwood could be the Whitby of the North West with a few billion investment.Love Whitby great fishing as well.
Is it the helpful woman who is cloudy but warm? Now settled in, were staying just outside in Sleights. The cottage is absolutely fabulous and the owner is a lovely helpful woman. Cloudy but warm presently. Looking forward to exploring the place. A Four mile walk to Whitby, where I've been many times.
I just meant keep eye out for a game I saw them v Curzon ashton several years ago on a Tuesday night whilst on hols. What match will that be ?
Wouldn't cost that much to level the placeCodwood could be the Whitby of the North West with a few billion investment.
we are in a property next door to it, so will be trying it at least for one night's dinner. There's a very smart chippy in Sleights, Wilf, called Eskdale Fisheries. We were there last week.
The Plough just up the hill from you is a decent pub, food is very good in there with a nice beer garden at the rear.we are in a property next door to it, so will be trying it at least for one night's dinner.
We walked from Grosmont to Whitby last time we were here, just before the second lock down, and had a couple in the Bridge. Unfortunately today when we reached Ruswarp the place was closed and had a message in the windows saying re-opening soon, which was a bit of a bugger as we all also needed the loo. Finished up in the Little Angel's beer garden, in Whitby, where the Seagulls were gathering to mug anyone not protecting their food properly. Will try the Plough tomorrow which has been designated a quiet day to rest our aching limbs. Age is slowly but surely catching up with me.The Plough just up the hill from you is a decent pub, food is very good in there with a nice beer garden at the rear.
We had fish and chips in there a few weeks back and they were excellent.
We live just over the river in Briggswath, the posh bit of Sleights, so they tell me!
It's a good walk into Whitby along the Esk Valley Way and the added bonus of seeing the NYMR steam trains going into Whitby, if you like that sort of thing. The Bridge Inn at Ruswarp is about halfway if you need refreshments on the way there or back, or both
