I find this quote from the film Bride of Frankenstein offensive and I think it should be banned. Anything that identifies gender should be banned actually.

I might go and apply for a job at the BBC.

Just make sure you tick "unspecified" in the gender box 😉

I think you'll find that Souness is a Sky pundit. Nothing to do with the BBC.
 
They have to have women on mens football panels, otherwise they’ll be accused of making it a man’s game. Can I describe men as men now, I’m not sure?

Was it that former woman goalkeeper who's sometimes on? instead of dropping it, maybe he should have tried a lob
 
It’s getting tiresome now , wether it’s bbc or sky , your highly unlikely to not have a woman involved when a man’s game is on, or a black male/female

Pure tick box exercise, like if they were to have an all white male panel just for one match there would be a meltdown accusing them of racism/sexism

If they are on the panel then fine, if not then fine , but it’s plainly obvious some are on purely because they are black/female

I don't disagree with the last point and I get the irritation. Same with tv ads. But I'm an adult white male.

Would be genuinely interested in the perspective of a black etc/female on this. Would they rather see their race/gender represented, for instance, by an ineffective black etc/female pundit ahead of a proven white male pundit? The reality is there are plenty of piss-poor male and female pundits. The really good male pundits (Keane/Neville/Carra) are safe but you need to be good to keep your spot or you will be rotated out.

In my view, there are a number of excellent male pundits (black and white) and a very small handful of excellent female pundits. We are in a levelling-up process so quotas are defo in play. Hopefully, it will play out that eventually we just get good pundits.
