Who should be captain?

Maxi is in and out of the, side, and I prefer an outfield player.
Eki has to battle to regain his form and it is doing him no favours to worry about captaining the side.
So my choice would be Connolly, maybe not a world beater, but he is vocal and no one can question his commitment.

Another vote for Connolly. He'd certainly lead by example, and I doubt the responsibility of captaincy would be a problem in terms of his performance. I agree with td53 that he'd be fine with the opposing captain, his physicality (which we've missed a lot whilst he's been at RB in my opinion) is just his way, nowt personal.

Connelly springs to mind instinctively. Right level of being a bit up for it and getting stuck in but also wouldn't bite the ear off the other captain when doing handshakes and also looks quite smart in a slightly old fashioned way.

Other candidates include Kenny, Jimmy and even wor Gaz or Jerry.
looks smart? ** hell

Yates all day long all a captain does is toss a coin but then Gee's players up on the field and is a certain starter.
I reckon Jerry might actually burst if he was captain. He'd want to take all the free kicks, corners, goal kicks, throw ins and also to be on the end of them. You'd probably have to take him off after 15 minutes and give him something to calm him down.

Love the lad to bits.

It's got to be madine. He's the one i see demanding the most out of our players game in game out. He's our main man up top, he's also our best defender!

Dougal or connolly yeah both do a lot of hard work but I wouldn't say either are vocal enough or get our other players up for it.

Marv i thought was a weird choice from the start of when he was being picked.

Surprise inclusion for me would be bridcutt as he seems to be a great communicator when he plays.

It's the when fit part that might be a problem, Jimmy for me.

Eh? Jimmy's been out more than half the games we've played??

I can only suppose you're talking about my reference to bridcutt? My main point is that it should be madine who has pretty much played every game for us so far.

Jimmy's no leader on the pitch, I'm afraid.

We are lacking leaders.

Husband isn’t a guaranteed starter and would only be captain for being one of the longest serving players.

Kenny is as timid as a mouse. Absolute no.

Connolly isn’t that vocal either but a good professional and wouldn’t be the worst choice. He’s no-nonsense like Thorniley, who is also too quiet.

I still think we’re crying out for a Keogh replacement.

Jerry is our biggest leader. Leads from the front and gives everything. However, strikers should never be captains for me.

Yes it was your reference to Bridcutt (if fit he seems the obvious choice). I've always thought a captain ideally should be a midfielder or centre back, rather than a striker or goalkeeper.
