my point was merely the "automatic" priority, given at some point there has to be a cut-off in terms of the lateness of a decision (but there probably isn't).
If his league 1 standard (or better) goals, assists and the penalties he wins gets us into the Championship, he might not want to leave if we still want him, and we can afford to let him go for free with our blessing if not. IMHO.

Cracking goal, but our style of play means Grimshaw will end up being involved in 95% of our goals. Even most of our corners end up back with our keeper before the slow tedious build up from the back.
