    Your Spurious BFC connections

Great thread, though they're not spurious. They could be tenuous.

    OLD PICTURES OF BLACKPOOL FC

Interesting perspective. I was distracted by the oddly well-built figure on the right in the fur, silver pants and white stilletos. I'm unsure which distraction is more alarming.

    Rhodes back ....

I like Coulson, too. He has good and bad periods in games, but he's skilful, alert and always trying to create stuff.

Is Beesley our top goal scorer?

Yep. I've nothing against the lad, acknowledge his heart and graft, but I despair at the number of times he is simply unable to control the ball at a fairly basic level. It seems to just bounce off his shins at a variety of tangents. Sad, really, and needs to be addressed with coaching

    Blackpool's Best Ever Signing

Mickey Burns was a very good, and underrated, player. My hero at a time when we had Hutchie, Suddick, and Green.

    Pompy fans

    Certainly the most campanological supporters.

    Mississippi Delta Blues

Sonny Boy Williamson on harmonica. Son House and John Lee Hooker.

    Gig Prices

Me too, man, but I remember getting the train down to Hammersmith Odeon to watch gigs when I was seventeen!

    Gig Prices

I completely agree with the sentiment, but I saw all the big-hitters, Floyd, Zeppelin, the Who, Yes, Genesis etc in the 70s, and it was cheap as chips!

    Route One - Critch's Kryptonite

Cheltenham played far better than we did. They were stronger, faster to react, more skilful. and passed more accurately.

    Denis Law

    Highlights. He was amazing.

    Holidays 2024

Eye-opening thread. Three holidays a year seems to be the norm. Five for some. I'm very envious of the expendable time and income. No bitterness implied-I'm just gobsmacked.

Our current tactics are more likely to result in a thirty foot trench ten yards either side of the halfway line. :)

Did anyone see Mark Radcliffe at the match?

There was an unsavoury association with right-wing extremism at one time. Donaldson and Poulton spring to mind.

At what point are we in full support?

Fair point, but Billy used to clench his fist before the games, whereas Critchley's demonstrative gestures are dependent on results. I think there is a widespread feeling that Critchley is not entirely trustworthy, and unwilling to accept responsibility for poor performances, while Billy Ayre...
