Agreed, but for long spells of last season we didn’t have a defensive midfielder available, which is what killed us as much as anything, snd nearly killed Carey’s football career.

I am much more confident of beating Reading after today. The other three all have awkward games to be fair, and they all need to win, but I think while one of them will probably slip up, two of them probably won’t, and we might just miss out. Having said sll that the force does seem to be with us.

I think we nearly ruined Carey last season when he was forced to play so many whole games when he wasn’t ready because of all the injuries and suspensions. The rest looks to have done him a lot of good and hopefully he will now kick on. Pity he wasn’t brought back a few games earlier!

Looks like he has found a midfield that works well together at last. Maybe a game or so too late, but let’s see what happens. All eyes on Reading next Saturday.

Better late than never. Hope they get the weapons quickly enough now to stop the Russians in their tracks and force them back!
