The state of the pitch is slightly disappointing given the level of investment that appears to have gone into it but at least we’re light years away from Lee Clark training the squad on it to make the pitch a leveller (not sure that worked) and the then groundsman leaving tractor marks on it.
I loved it in the second half where there was a 50-50 with the ginger PNE player (think it was Van Den Berg) and he slid in to perfection but made sure he left a foot in to give the Nobber something to think about. Sure enough he was much quieter after that.
It’s the inconsistency that’s infuriating. He was booking Blackpool players for anything and giving a stern telling off at every opportunity then most of the time he spoke to Oxford players he seemed almost apologetic and giving them sympathetic slaps on the back etc.

I wasn’t able to watch the game today but wish I had as this howler from the ref sounds of epic proportions! Unfortunately the incident wasn’t on the match highlights on Sky Sports.
