Gary Bowyer is a good man and a good manager. It would seem that he expects a level of managerial autonomy that few owners are likely to concede.

Personally I think it's poor playing fringe first team players against an U-18 side. If he wants to get minutes into first team legs than arrange a bounce game against a L2 or National League side.

Concerning but not worrying - that will change for the better as soon as the first one goes in.
