    Championship Players out of contract

We also previously did well with recruiting players that have been released by top clubs. They aren't good enough to break into a PL side but would be fantastic in L1/Championship. Bowler and Grimshaw were both in this category.

    Stuck with Critchley?

I agree. It does feel like every transfer window we are needing a big rebuild though. Less than ideal.

    Pep bollocking Grealish

Been at City since 2021. I think he was more of a threat before he joined them to be honest. They paid a fortune for him and you'd have thought he would have improved further and score 20 a season. Hasn't happened.

    Pep bollocking Grealish

I'm not sure Kalvin Philips would agree. Has he made Grealish better? No doubt he is a great coach, but he gets away with a lot that others wouldn't be able to in my opinion. The pundits don't talk about this our how he is happy to turn a blind eye to the 115 charges as long as he gets all the...

    Pep bollocking Grealish

He also has the luxury of buying players for 100 million and 77 million for his bench. He gets players others would love and doesn't play them for years. Managers at clubs that are financially responsible can't do such things.

    Simon Sadler gives £1.5m…

Fantastic! Also, interesting to see that those who are normally among the first to reply to threads and only ever moan haven't seen this one.

I hope Critch goes with this

Oh, thanks! You'd think if he was getting games for the dev squad then he would soon start to be included on the bench.

Does anyone know what has happened to Ryan Finnigan?

Not sure if I have missed something, but where is Ryan Finnigan?

    If he was to change?

I don't understand where this commitment to 3 at the back has come from. He came to us and clearly wanted to play 4-3-3. This made sense as he'd probably been coaching it at Liverpool as that's the system they play. It didn't work so he had to change to 4-4-2 and he had success with this. In...

    January 2024 Transfer thread.

I think Norburn was a decent replacement for Trybull and you could see a midfield or Dougall, Norburn and Morgan being a three in a promotion chasing side. With Dougall going though I think we are now lacking quality. Virtue, Carey and at times Morgan look average for the league.

    January 2024 Transfer thread.

We started this campaign with both Dougall and Trybull in the squad, two players who would be deemed very good very league one. I feel that we are now much weaker in that position and could do with someone to better what we currently have. In general we have quite a few players who are good...

Dom Thompson to FGR on Loan

Also sounds like he still hasn't worked out that standing there with his arms crossed doesn't actually help or encourage his players. He must have a good agent.

Possibly not the best time to buy, but loans with an option to buy in the summer might be worth doing. I don't think the players listed alone are good enough for promotion.

If we are losing Kenny then I would hope a replacement is coming in?
