    Have we become too entitled?

The opening post is about entitlement to a top 6 league position which is probably unlikely to happen this season. But many of the replies have "adapted" the debate to discuss an entitlement to entertainment, something which is easier to agree on. And most would probably agree that the club has...

In a game we simply have to win……

Agree with comments on Gabriel. He's a fine player. When he ran back to tackle a Derby attacker on Friday, it epitomised everything that appears to be wrong with the tactics and formation. He's a defender first and a marauding attacker when there's someone else in front. I believe we would be...

Derby County v Blackpool Official Matchday Thread 29.03.24

Critchley v1.0 was very good defensively. V2.0 we look like we will concede at any moment. Presumably, this is the problem with a back 3

Should he stay or should he go now?

I'm losing patience and beginning to think Critchley critics may have been right all along. There is much to like in terms of acquisitions and the way he encourages players. But it's dull as dishwater (last night was awful) and even when we win it's rarely convincing.

I can't defend Critchley any more

It's not all over yet, but it can't carry on like this. The tactics have to change. He has to change 3-5-2. He has to own up that it's not worked. We have seen enough evidence to say that the tactics are no good against defensive teams.

We need to sign a good centre half. Someone like Ballard. Someone with confidence. Attack and midfield will be OK

    Critch and Charlie

I think Critch + Dobbie would be a good call. Defence and Attack

Really good performance. Can only echo what others have said, McCarthy took us down

What is missing from last season?

I would agree with others that the biggest difference is Critchley. The QPR board, when announcing his dismissal, thanked him for his professionalism. I don't think these are empty words. He is, and was, very professional, prepared and hard working. He seemed to know what was required to stay in...

Do we deserve to be where we are ?

No, I think the position is a fair reflection of the performance. Could things have been different? Yes, but this depends on so many decisions and it's easy with the benefit of hindsight to be critical. We did well under Critchley, but tactically he was very defensive, and it was all a bit dour...

Frustrating. Hull deserved their point. Very sloppy Blackpool. Since the kick off for the second half, it was Hull on the up
