In Reykjavik for the Shrewsbury game in March - anyone been and might know somewhere with a chance of showing the match?

Probably a long shot given how small the town is so I’d imagine it could be a VPN job.

Expensive beer in Reykjavik… but if you head out early there should be plenty of happy hour offers to bring the price into ‘normal’ territory. Would recommend the Gull ❤️

Cannot recommend any bars but there's a place on the main street that sells soup in a cob/loaf that is lovely and for Iceland reasonably priced, you get the choice of two flavours which changes everyday , the place is called Svarta Kaffid and you can get a pint there as well.

I can't remember the name of the pub right in the middle ofr the city, I got them to put an England game on there via the internet in 2021, so worth asking!

Thanks for the recommendations - been told a lot to prepare for some damage to my bank account!

Cheers, definitely worth me trying - few Irish bars around so decent chance they might be showing some games.

Went this time last year. There‘s a few bars that show sport and there’s a Brew Dog pub too. As others have said, it’s expensive, but no trouble and no queue at the bar 😄 I managed to fall and split my head open - 7 stitches (hadn’t had a drink either) make sure you have insurance, as the hospital visit was expensive! we got the money back through our insurance company. Have a great time and do some trips 👍

Cheers mate - hopefully that means there’s a few nice places to go around. We’re only there for a weekend, but we’ve planned a trip out into the countryside which should be good.

Will try and avoid falling over - hopefully all has healed well for you!!

Went last year brilliant place, couple bars on the Main Street up the hill do happy hrs so pints around 4 or 5 euros, otherwise your paying around 9 euros a glass less than a pint.
didnt notice anywhere doing the footy though

I once had a marvellous night with a ballet dancer in Reykjavik when I was in the Navy. If you happen to meet a ballet dancer while you are there, say hello from me. Happy, carefree days.
