Could of gone either way last night made some super saves in normal time and in the shoot out... just needs to kick the ball a bit better 🤣
 
He was pressed and struggled with kicking but only because Pool defenders were giving it him back on his right foot.

Probably a change for the defence to think about especially in the heat of the game/when under pressure but Grimmy and O’Donnell need it on different sides and I don’t think the pass backs helped him
 
In the nicest possible way, he seems to have that slightly traditional goalkeeper ‘bonkers’ streak, without it spilling into a mistake ridden idiot. It means his character is clearly there throughout the squad and I’m sure Grimmy will get a lot from him in training. He’s an enthusiast for the game.

really pleased for him that he’d already got MOTM prior to the shootout.

Friend who follows Bradford knows him said at start of the season he’s sound good keeper and a decent bloke outside of football 😀😀🍊🍊
 
Agree with all the above...

Seems a decent, solid, traditional type keeper.

When kicking long seems to get too much height on the ball, rather than distance.

Grimshaw seemed genuinely made up for him at the end, after pens.
 
Was discussing this last night too. He's not as agile as Grimmy and not as confident with the ball at feet but I actually think he's a better shot stopper and I think he's possibly the better keeper for a shoot out. Made some very nice saves last night
 
HE was great last night. one stop early on . YES a good keeper is invaluable . i did tell him to stick with the double reverse critovich old boltonian game from 1895.

missed that had to get away to avoid my sons car being blocked in by trotters. WE listened to the shoot out on the wat home. A new cult hero.
