Opposing players celebrating in front of the North

I’m fed up of bellends from the opposition who think they are Billy Big Bollocks celebrating in front of us fans.
I know the the answer is don’t concede in the first place but today Harris and Brannigan just made themselves look like total throbbers.

But guess what it’s BFC who end up taking the shit because some dickhead responds by throwing something on the pitch.
Just like removing your shirt, running towards opposing fans after scoring should be a yellow card.

It would only be a blue card for the 2 players in question so Oxford would have passed it around the defenders and the goalie for 10 minutes something we're great at without the blue cards!

I don't recall you complaining when our lads celebrated in front of Bristol rovers fans. It's football, get over it!
Thanks for reminding me. But let’s say that’s a £30,000 fine for the club. That’s money we can’t afford to throw around, and all thanks to a couple of cnuts thinking they are being clever and a dickhead who on his way home from the game had to stop off at the Happy Shopper to buy himself a new lighter.

Perhaps you worded your OP wrong. I agree that dickheads throwing things can cause the club problems.
Opposition players celebrating in front of our fans is somewhat infuriating but most teams do it, including us, and most fans don't respond by throwing shit!
The problem isn't the players, it's the dickheads throwing things!

The players celebrated scoring a goal in front of us after being given sh1t by us. What's the actual issue here ? Apart from a few whoppers acting like 5 Yr olds cos they are unable to control their temper or see the funny side to a bit of banter that we get back after giving it out.

Totally agree that players celebrating in front of opposition fans should be punished. However to be bombarded with stuff thrown ( was certainly not just one fan and one item) is absolutely moronic given how many times the club have been warned.
Saddler must be fuming at how much this will now cost the club.

Our fans had spent long enough laying into their players (including the man with the pond) if you can’t accept that’s going to happen, don’t give it out in the first place, and don’t be a complete bell*nd and launch lighters and vapes at players.

If I were good enough to score a goal against us in the North end I’d do the same.

Our fans need to take it on the chin, it’s just banter.

I'm not sure that the 'if we give it out, we must expect to get it back' claim is strictly true. Today we were giving shit to Brannagan. It was Harris who came over and started acting like a wanker. Remember Northampton (i think it was) earlier in the season. When they scored, the tawt who got the goal came over and started giving it the big I am. No idea who the fuck he was or what we had said to him. So why the need for him to goad the fans and act like a knobhead. And the IRA cnut last season. Any shit he get's is of his own making. Fans (not just us) are merely reacting to the fact that he is the biggest cnut in football and hates the English.

Not a problem though is it. Give him it back verbally, gestures whatever but don’t throw anything or if you do pay the fine. Job sorted.

Should be a red for players who do it as it’s inciting disorder and a banning order for anyone chucking stuff .
Club shouldn’t have to fork out for the moronic actions of players or fans .

Agreed, but that's part three in the incident. i'm talking about parts one and two. i'm not sure (as highlighted by the examples that I have given) that it's necessarily the fans that start the situation. What is important to remember is that a lot of footballers are as thick as pig shit who think they are something special whilst thobbing about in the third tier of English football. Part four though is sadly inevitably all too predictable. Its BFC who get saddled (or should i say Saddlered) with the bill because some dipshit half brained footballer suddenly thinks he's Ronaldo just because he got a tap in against our shit defense.

To be fair to the players, it’s their dream to play professionally so if they make it they are bound to be a wee bit cocky.

No excuse for fans throwing objects at players.

So it was Harris and Bannagans's dream to play for a club in the third division in a town full of entitled students who's trophy haul consists of a League Cup. Jeez, talk about aiming big!

But it wasn't him it was Harris. Brannagan came over later. Safety in numbers. He was clearly too much of a dripping pussy to give it to us on his own.
He's clearly very flakey. First he can't decide who he want's to play for, then he can't decide whether or not to come over to the home fans for a bit of banter.

I'm not sure what alternate world you're living in but I don't recall any club ever being financially punished because some knobhead player celebrated in front of their fans!

All any young player wants to be is a professional footballer, I don’t think they would care who they sign for.

I’m not falling out with you, I get why you get the needle.

All I’m saying is don’t throw objects at the players.

Shouldn’t take too much discipline.

You've misunderstood. The celebration leads to some idiot throwing something onto the pitch (as happened today) leading to the club being fined.

You are Paddy Crerrand and I claim my £5. If you don't know what i'm talking about listen to his 5live interview (its on Youtube) after Ferdinand celebrated in front of Manchester City fans.

There's no disagreement about throwing objects on the pitch. My original point is about players celebrating in front of opposing fans. None of the posts about throwing objects being stupid and wrong are disputed.

What has the fact that it's Oxford or Oxford is a university town got to do with absolutely anything? And in terms of the people you've named aiming big they're in exactly the same league as our players. You're beginning to protest too much.

I didn't throw anything at anyone nor did 99% of people in the stadium so although your "idiots throwing things because of the players actions" argument holds some relevance, it isn't the reason that people actually throw things... People throw things because they're dickheads and evidence is well documented because dickheads have been throwing things for a number of seasons without any involvement of opposition players!

I've no idea what point you are making. I'm not protesting about anything. I don't believe that many children dream of playing in League One. most dream of playing for ManU or Liverpool etc. Oxford is a university town. one of the most prestigious in the world in fact. Again, no idea what point you are making.

Apologies but got a bee in my bonnet about this.

Player’s celebrating is a big part of the game.

I’d hate it if they dldn’t.

Let them give it back, we need a bit of edge, that’s why we go and watch.

Yes, I agree.

What team it is, what town that team is in and whether their players are at the pinnacle of English football has nothing to do with whether they should celebrate in front of the north. Does that make it clearer?

Players celebrating is a big part of the game. Just don't do it in front of opposing fans because chances are at least one of them is a dickhead who will throw something at you. Fact, unfortunately. Save everyone the aggro and go and celebrate in front of your own fans. i'm sure your fans would prefer that.

Players celebrating in front of their own fans fair enough agree massive part of the game .

But holding your arms out in front of opposition fans many of whom have had a bellyful of ale and whatever else is provocative asking for trouble and they should be sent off.

The club doesn’t need this .

I agree 100%. I said when it happened that it would fire up the crowd who would then fire up the team. It didn't help in the long run but it did get the north stand going a bit!

Really, you think they should be sent off.

I like it, fuck em with a smile and a v sign would be my response.

Thank you Angel. Finally someone who gets my point. Apologies to everyone else that i'm not the most articulate and struggle sometimes to express my views.

Yes but others end up going further that’s the point .
Well lets agree to disagree, goodnight to you both👌
