Leyton Orient v Blackpool Official Matchnight Thread 27.02.24

Isolation, Critchley 🤔
More like the Atrocity Exhibition. Just on the train back to Brighton, a later one, I would have been on an earlier one but my granddaughter insisted on seeing the 7 minutes added time. We missed an earlier and faster train by..... Yes 7 mins .
What a sh*tshow. Clueless, spineless, pointless, I'm in an existential fugue now.

Good to know there’s another sufferer in Sussex

Absolutely shite tonight. No idea what the game plan was. Can’t fathom the squad selection. And as for the players - each one was absolutely pathetic - not one played for the shirt or showed some desire. I’d have the lot of them make their own way back to Blackpool tonight and have them running up and down the dunes all day tomorrow. Critchley can join them.

The passing stats are Pool 234/392 (60%) Orient 220/362 (61%)
Theirs went forwards and with meaning when they were looking to get infront. Every team in the division now knows that once we go behind away from home they just need to let us have possession and the clock winds down to do the job for them.

The lucky seven 🤔🤦‍♂️👏👏

Funny how SS has just been on radio saying they need to work out how not to be inconsistent. How about keep the same team?!
Whilst giving the elbow to the buffoon who just seems so incapable of achieving any kind of consistency in his approach to being in charge, and who couldn't manage a repeat team selection, even if his f-----g life depended on it ...

Pitch looks big so we should be able to play good football and win this game of we play anywhere near our best.
Sorry, not possible - if you then handicap the team, and scupper their chances of achieving a result, by virtue of an absolutely insane team selection policy, which sees the inclusion of non-football-playing personnel, i.e. Hamilton, Connolly, Eki, and so on, and so forth ... Truly, truly defies belief!

Probably going to need 77-80 points to make the playoffs. If it’s 80 that means 27 from 11. League one football next year

I take on board all the Critchley points but do the players not have to some responsibility, i watched that last night and to me not one of them put in a shift.

It's hard not to type irrational posts after getting served up that shite yet again.

But 35 games in and I'm non the wiser what our game plan is. Wellens meanwhile has a definite way of playing, had his team fired up and they played possession based footy but had a will to fight for every ball.

Us on the other hand were passive, uncreative and we could have played until midnight and not have scored.

No plan, no fight, turgid, boring shite. What are we building for next season, more of the same?
That has the makings of the start of a good poem to describe our season
No plan, no fight
Turgid boring shite

Leave you to finish what you started
