U17s in action tonight.

No goals yet but 2 red cards for Walsall within the space of 2 mins including the keeper. Very similar incidents with Pool players through on goal both just outside the area.

That's Terry Bondo who probably is about 6'4". He's a regular for the u18s and has been included in the Development Squad. The kids coming through are fairly tall compared to those just about to finish their scholarships. I don't know this is a deliberate policy.

We're going to loan them out to men's basketball teams, in the hope that that don't end up scoring against us for Bolton.
 
We have a player already whose tall, can't play football and can only do one thing - block things, in Ekpiteta

Hopefully this kid can do more than just be good on set pieces and becomes an all round player. Been years since we've had a home grown player who has cemented his place in the team. BH nearly got there but seems to have taken a sideways, backwards step. Hopefully he can push on. Do we have any emerging blackpool born talent in the local youth leagues, do we miss out due to lack of training facilities, do they just go to the likes of
Man u
Blackburn
Liverpool
Etc.
