Affroman & Raggy vs the Oystains

Watched this a few months ago. Really enjoyed it. Both top blokes and I have a lot of respect for them for what they did 🧡

Still think the book is poor! :)😀🥹😦

Why are you proud of going to watch them in court? Surely it's them two who should be proud, for what they did, how they reacted, how they dealt with the situation? You did nowt compared to them two, you just pitched up in the public gallery. Bravo Toulouse-Lautrec! What a hero!
You really haven't got a clue have you?

You are obviously missing any point I've tried to make

If you were posting in those days you will know that many people on this site didn't support Raggy or Steve in the email/libel exchanges or the posts on this site that they were making against Karl and Owen, in fact the majority on this site actually defended the Oystons over fellow fans, it wasn't until the accounts were published that people woke up to what the Oystons were doing with regards to the removal of funds and even then some still didn't get it or want to believe it

I was involved in several protests and travelled to many court cases from my home in North Wales including one of the first in Manchester when a few of us got together in the Walkabout in Manchester to discuss helping the lads with legal costs, they didn't take us up on the offer so instead I decided to make the effort to support them at as many of the court cases as I could, it became a regular thing taking days off work to travel to a courtroom

So yeah I'm proud of the small part i did in supporting the lads and the parts i played in various protests during the times when very few of our fanbase actually did anything at all

In the early days it was a very low amount who did anything, probably about 50 or so of the same faces, I'm actually proud i was one of them and I've made friends for life during those dark times

Anyone involved in protesting and speaking out should be proud - Afro and Raggy took it to the extreme and really were a thorn in the side of the Oystons whilst a bigger fish was sizing them up - helped take their eye off the ball, as did others who had court action against them. I remember on here those of us that constantly repeated what they were up to and getting veiled threats, private messages about IP addresses being found out, and legal proceedings etc. They tried to bully people with their money, luckily not everyone is happy to passively sit and watch when something is clearly wrong.

Yep that's the point and i will always have respect for the people like you (i don't think we have even met) who used to speak out against the Oystons on this site when very few of us dared

I could probably name about 20 or so posters who got it during the early days of the protests

You're right, speaking out at the time could lead to very real consequences with livelihoods or court costs etc even with tinpot Les on the case.
I don't like bullies, and loved the fact we got under the skin of the parasites on here. Not sure how anyone can criticise any supporter who spoke out or took more direct action.

I can hand on heart say I was always against the Oystons - even pre Premier League .Even before I joined avftt I would call them out on 606 and I was not alone .

I have vague memories of some supporting them but that all changed when they started attacking supporters via the legal system

Yes Raggy and Afro were on the out fringes but they were v funny and I bet the Oystons despised them

There were still some Mushrooms supporting them, even after they had started with legal action against fans.

It's a good watch, I can't believe I missed this when it was first aired. Both Steve and Raggy are both forces of nature, as well as tangerine to the core. It makes me very proud to think of those who suffered and gave so much to ultimately bring the Oystons reign to an end. It puts things into perspective when we now moan about results and pies, we are now a special club, talking about normal things.
