Apologies if it’s been mentioned but is there any update on his injury?
I’m just back and haven’t heard any post match interviews yet

The last I read was he had been for a scan and they were waiting for the result. Didn’t sound promising though.

Critch said he's been for scan and said of pre scan indications 'it doesn't look good'

It was exactly how I did my ACL, just turning, no contact. Hope it’s not, but didn’t look good.

Lyons is a talent and valuable asset, but he’s had a bad year all round. We have no idea why he’s not been central to team plans, but I’d hope that NC values him too.

Injury aside (which I wish him all the best) Lyons and Dale also have really been hit hard in their personal lives. I wonder if Critchley isn't able to offer that human touch when it comes to putting an arm around their shoulders or just being a good listener? Dale has only managed more than 45 minutes once in the 6 games since going to Oxfraud. Lyons has been largely overlooked and has looked like his confidence is shot. Maybe not the right time to mention Critchley's shortcomings when such sad personal events are concerned. But whatever your thoughts are of him I reckon an old pro with strong empathy and interpersonal intelligence is needed on the management team. Right through the club we seem to be short of experience and character. Keogh, Madine, Calderwood etc in the past have helped the younger players and management. I'm sure Ipshit's rise to the Championship had a little bit of that Keogh magic. Jordan Rhodes has been the 1 bright light in this area. Beesley has benefitted big time and the squad seem to have a spring in their step when he's around.

Lot of bullshit posted on here with their anti Critch agenda's.

Lyons started first three games of the season then sadly lost his farther.
After some time off NC tried to ease him back with BSM games but he was very poor in them.
Andy then started some league games and apart from one match has been bang average.

Recently until his injury he's been more involved but Critchley has ruined his career utter nonsense.

Hope he recovers soon with his head in the right place for next season.

Bad news for him, but not totally unexpected. That's him out until probably next year & then time to return to match fitness. 😞

At least that puts to bed that he will be leaving soon, sad reason, but for us good.

Hopefully a full recovery and he comes back in great physical shape and form and maybe a new Manager that truly appreciates him and plays him in his strongest position. If not, lets hope Critch utilises him to his full potential.

Totally agree mate.
Of late every thread (regardless of the nature) seems to give a few posters a reason to have another go at Critch.
Fylde Seasider epitomises this
“I WONDER IF CRITCH IS’NT ABLE TO OFFER THAT HUMAN TOUCH”
WTF has that got to do with Lyons injury?
I’m also surprised that no-one has come on and blamed Critch for the injury.
There really are some numpties on this forum.

'Maybe not the right time to discuss Critchley's shortcomings'

Proceeds to discuss some made up agenda ridden bollocks.

Strongest position?
He can play RB or LB which coincidentally he played most of the season in Ireland before coming to us.

Even if he was fit I wouldn't have him in front of Gabriel and Coulson sadly since the loss of his father he's had glimpses but nothing more this season.

Jeez 👀

I wish the lad a speedy recovery but his future at the seaside was decided long before this injury.
Shocking assumption. You talk like you can decide his future.
The lads has a terrible time of it and your comments just dehumanise him and make him just a number on a balance sheet. Disgusting.

The lad was given the top young player in Ireland award, is proven in the best team in Ireland, in Europe and in the Championship and now hardly ever gets a start in a mediocre league. If you're shocked and disgusted by me pointing out he's treated like a spare part you must lead a sheltered life.
