Red card overturned.

Maybe. Who knows?

Portsmouthy were very happy not to lose, that was their standpoint. Had we scored with 11 I think they would have upped it a bit.

Sometimes, something totally unexpected can add a spark that would have never been there. I think the red card being rescinded could be that and if it is the 2 points lost or otherwise maybe there will be a boost that will lead to a reaction for the rest of the season.

Let's hope so.
They definitely came to play for a draw and so they almost certainly could have opened it up a bit if needed.

That said, I think that we just had the measure of them and had we kept Rhodes on, the win was most likely on the cards.

We’ve had some very good performances recently…. Hopefully we can push on at last…

So, having had 2 points potentially stolen from us by this appalling decision, what happens if we miss the play offs by 1 point?

The red card has been rescinded, but I'll still be sending my strongly worded complaint to the PGMOL about that ref.
I just need to take out all the swear words.

Redacted Version

While they're there, Rafferty, the ex Nobber might want to explain his simulation involving 4 complete revolutions after being well enough to grab Rhodes' leg when he looked like he was getting away.
I don't know about 'complete revolutions' - he nearly started one with the part he had to play in Rhodes' sending-off ... Absolute disgrace.

Swings and roundabouts. We have won points thanks to dodgy decisions in our favour. Every team in league thinks they suffer more from poor refereeing.
Errr - sorry, you seem to be missing the point entirely. This wasn't purely an example of 'poor refereeing' (but, yes, it was an instance of totally inept officiating, granted) the thing that really sticks in the craw is the play-acting/blatant cheating that Rafferty engaged in, in his efforts to get the referee to respond in the way that he did. It really was a demonstration of sportsmanship of the worst possible kind.

The Pompey player and bench need to hang their heads in shame …..cheating is rewarded in the game …the pampered premier league so called stars have a lot to answer for😳
You see a bit less of the histrionic play acting in the Premier league since var was introduced.
What the Portsmouth player did was embarrassing I wouldn't want to see our players do that even if it gained us an advantage.

Never! That match was there for the taking with 11men.

I sit in the west and the incident was right in front of me, a terrible decision and the ref wouldn’t speak to our captain at all!
He needs to be sent back to non league football!
we cant inflict that kind of incompetence on sunday league.

Gamesmanship? But yes, it was.

This is more than rightfully warranted; it's was never in a month of Sunday's a red card.

Let's move on.

But, at the same time, remember how much that stadium, full of fans, drew together and lifted that team in the face of adversity and a likely whipping by the team currently at the top of the table.

See what happens when you show your team some faith? AVE IT.

If you say so Neil.

Probably down to the duffers at the FA being clueless.
You can imagine it
THE PANEL
Next Case - Jordan Rhodes RED card

Duffer 1: "Oh, he's a decent chap, model professional. Over 700 games, played for Blackburn Rovers (founders of our glorious league), formerly of Middlesbrough (formerly known as the marvellously named Middlesbrough Ironopolis). Now a Huddersfield Town player."

Duffer 2, "Well, my dog is a terrier, the nickname of Huddersfield don't you know old chap. So taking that into account, let's go easy on the lad. I always thought he was good enough to play for England."

Add Duffer 3 etc
Ferk off you don't know what your talking about he's a dirty bar steward knew exactly what he was doing, oh okay maybe we got it correct after all ,we will monitor his, conduct in the future ,good call that 🤔agh just realised he is a lasher ,still have to go with decision now otherwise people might think the efl don't know their arse from their elbow.
