Must admit I've been largely underwhelmed by the lad. However tonight he was absolutely superb both defending and getting forward, great engine and must be nearing full fitness.

All the defence played well, but Ollie Casey is a massively underrated footballer. He's never put a foot wrong in a tangerine shirt and was imperious today - he totally deserves to keep his place.

People do this all the time, judge a player off a few performances when it takes time to settle and also he needed fitness, he's looking pretty decent now.

That’s not true, he got a lot of negative comments in his first few games , I’m surprised you didn’t notice them on here, from the start in that silly cup when he made his debut he looked good but off the pace re lack of game time, I’m glad a lot of people have been proved wrong

I noticed the comments, I just didn't agree with them
 
Looked promising the first couple of games, had a few poor games then had a few good games.

Overall he looks to be a decent signing who has given us a bit more balance.
 
That 360 turn Casey did late in the second half was class left their attacker rooted to the spot whilst Casey drove up the pitch then got hacked down.That was a little moment where you think he could be the one to bring the ball out of defence rather than Marv.Sadly Marv doesn’t work anywhere else in a back three and Casey isn’t the best with the ball at his feet to distribute it.
 
Turning point was v Bolton.

He was very average before and has been very good since.

Lets hope his good form continues
