An unfolding tragedy that will inevitably spark a host of conflicting theories and agendas.
I can't see what a Ukrainian backed terrorist attack benefits tbh, but pretty grim whoever is behind it.

Ukraine have denied it’s them.

Could be Chechen rebels. Or disaffected Wagner types. Or Putin. Or pretty much anyone really.

Interestingly according to the BBC the US government warned its citizens to avoid large venues with lots of people because an attack by “extremists” was imminent. They didn’t say who the extremists might be but presumably have a good idea.

Make of all that what you will.

But part of me thinks it’s a troll (state sponsored possibly) who has confused Kherson with Khorasan.

My own opinion, this is a false flag attack by the Russian security agencies to make sure they have popular support for the war in Ukraine, that they don't protest their sliding living standards and accept conscription.

Putin no longer calls it an SMO, it is now referred to as a war with NATO

They are mentally deranged but there is a clear difference in how the shootings are reported.

If a mentally unstable Muslim individually decides to go on a rampage, then the focus is on how it's ISIS inspired, why the wider Muslim community don't do more to call it out...etc.

Quite often in the US, mass shooters are attached to white supremacist militias, or will post online manifestos that reference The Great Replacement theory, The Turner diaries, Breivik...etc.
Those shootings don't get reported as terrorism, even though they're ideologically driven in the same way a lone wolf attack by a Muslim is.

There's a load of articles and studies around this, but the El Paso mass shooting is probably the most immediately obvious example.

The usual definition of a mass shooting is 4 or more victims, killed or injured.

In 2023 the US Had 604 mass shootings.

Almost 2 per day. Clearly these figures are higher than those above. But believe it or not there's a wiki page which lists US mass shootings for each year.

Why, on earth, didn't many of them decide to ruin their ballot papers, or just throw them away?
What would Putin have done if no one had voted?
He couldn't put them all in jail.
He is as evil as Hitler. He probably thought that Hitler had done the right thing to get in power.

They probably did, but spoiled ballots were probably given to Putin.

Trump admires Putin for his strongman image. Enough said.
