I took my then young daughters to that game. One of them dropped their glove in the toilet but only confessed to this crime a year or two ago. By half time they were both in tears, so we left early in the second half, whereupon they cheered up immeasurably. Never again!

Was policing the match at Saltergate when Big Sam was managing and we were top of the league with a few games to play. Massive midweek turnout, fantastic atmosphere and we lost to a cracking goal that night. After that we nosedived and the rest is history.
 
Chesterfield have almost been through as many ups and downs as we have although they got brown envelopes and non league whereas we got blatant thieving and Premier League!

I was working in Chez Vegas at the time, I was staying in Chesterfield Hotel came down in my Pool shirt and the Team were in there, had a word with Big Sam didn’t do much good.
