They're lacking a leader, I can only imagine how dull and inspirational his half team talks are. His body language is just so wrong on the touchline, no passion at all.Holloway would have too.

A close second to Chris Malkin...although if based on transfer fee, probably the worst. You must be pissed
My point was that there is a lot of horrible negative , backwards passing football being played across ALL divisions. Although we re particularly good at doing it in a really slow and boring fashionThey're a division below us, I would hope for better quality from division 1, poor comparison
Because we are predictable rubbish and the disconnect between the club and fans is growing every week. It's all very pointless until change is made.Pointless? As far as the outcome of the game yes but as a football team can you explain why we are pointless?
What a stupid shout.A close second to Chris Malkin...although if based on transfer fee, probably the worst.
The fee is a bit of a red herring. Yates was going, Swansea wouldn't pay more in cash and he was a makeweight with his 'fee' being inflated. It may look like BFC paid say a mill for him, but in reality it was probably KJ or a final offer of 200k more.A close second to Chris Malkin...although if based on transfer fee, probably the worst.
Sadly, I have to agree. Lavery, when he joined us, was a goal poacher who was putting them away for N.Ireland as well. The instinct and initiative has been coached out of him. Ditto Joseph, Lyons, Carey et al.Harsh on Joseph, I challenge any player to play to their full capacity under Critchley. Look at Lavery, he looks lost. Norburn who's been so highly rated everywhere he's been before, crap for us. Byers, one of the best CM in the league last season, looks no where near that for us. I can keep going. When you have so many players all not reaching their potential then it's not the players that need looking at, it's the man in charge.
The loss of Kenny Dougall has had the biggest impact Imo.We need a complete reset for next season.
We need players with fight. Too many of them are ‘almost good’. Too many ‘almost came away with a point but actually got none’ results.
I know we’ll have way better seasons than this and I can’t wait for whenever that is.
We miss quality. Morgan and Rhodes injuries have impacted our results big time.
along with JerryThe loss of Kenny Dougall has had the biggest impact Imo.
Yeah. It hasn’t helped. Our midfield has needed sorting out for ages now. I thought Norburn was the start of the solution last August but he seems to have gone the other way recently. The loss of Kenny Dougall has had the biggest impact Imo.
Honestly Lytham, best part of £400 to have you lose the will to live watching Critchley's "Blackpool way" it's just not happening. But you will renew it regardless.
D'you know who you put me in mind of with that decidedly botanical-themed post, Matesrates? It would be nice to see bees buzzing around, stinging the keeper and pollinating their goal
He's shite whatever the fee. As clueless as his coach. The fee is a bit of a red herring. Yates was going, Swansea wouldn't pay more in cash and he was a makeweight with his 'fee' being inflated. It may look like BFC paid say a mill for him, but in reality it was probably KJ or a final offer of 200k more.
Is it? Have you watched him? He's useless. What a stupid shout.
I've watched us against Lincoln both home and away and I honestly thought, even after the away defeat, that they weren't a very good team. Their current form is unbelievable and all credit to them for playing winning football even though they play 3-5-2.Season over. We can't score. I'd love to hear people defending Critchley and his team. There is zero chance we are catching Lincoln. We got conned once again by signing Joseph.
Agreed mate. I wish them all the best. I also wish we had their manager.I've watched us against Lincoln both home and away and I honestly thought, even after the away defeat, that they weren't a very good team. Their current form is unbelievable and all credit to them for playing winning football even though they play 3-5-2.
He got us promoted from League One with a very tight defence and some good loans. He kept us in the Championship at a canter. There's the answer. However, since he jumped ship he's become Critchley mk2: obstinate, boring and bereft of ideas. What on Gods Planet was Sadler thinking of giving Critchley a 4 year contract based on a feckin algorithm?
Systems are OK if players know what they're doing and they are good enough to play it.I've watched us against Lincoln both home and away and I honestly thought, even after the away defeat, that they weren't a very good team. I'm not a fan of Carey but agree with you.Thought Carey was our best player today only one who tried . Lavery and Joseph terrible players ,get rid .
It’s called business Bendit. He does a job and gets promoted a few clubs come sniffing and it’s compensation time. What on Gods Planet was Sadler thinking of giving Critchley a 4 year contract based on a feckin algorithm?
I'm not back tracking at all. Joseph's goals per minutes is embarrassing. As much as I dislike the way Critchley sets us up it's not his fault Joseph missed a clear headed chance at Wigan and scuffed his latest good chance today.Backtracking big style I see. He made more of an impact in 20 mins than Beesley in 70. Criminal team selection today, just glad I don’t bother with away games anymore
Sober thanks, I just think £1M strikers should be able to score more than 2 goals a season. You must be pissed
An algorithm would have taken into account his failures at QPR and Villa which were his two most recent 'achievements'.He got us promoted from League One with a very tight defence and some good loans. He kept us in the Championship at a canter. There's the answer. However, since he jumped ship he's become Critchley mk2: obstinate, boring and bereft of ideas.

Id be happy for you to pay him to leave gooseIt’s called business Bendit. He does a job and gets promoted a few clubs come sniffing and it’s compensation time.
Me personally I’d pay him to leave.
He works hard enough and does have decent feet but the lack of goals and assists is a massive problem. Obviously some of that is down to how we play and how awful our delivery is. He's a young lad but I expect so much more from him. I honestly can't see us scoring more than 4 or 5 goals in the remaining games. He has great feet but doesn't look comfortable in the 9 role. He will probably come good.
I think it's more a case of 'a bit of both', BFCfan33, if we're been completely honest ...He's not been found out its the players who aren't good enough
I’m ok,across the pond at the moment catching up on the football. It’s dire and as for Jordan H going to Germany I’m with you for once. Awful form at the moment at Ajax,I’m pretty confident he still gets picked.Id be happy for you to pay him to leave goose
Ive had enough stress thinking Backpass might make the England squad, so being bored rigid by Critchley really doesn't help.
Hope ur keeping well.
Fair enough cant argue with that, i just don't think the whole problem is the manager the players have to take some responsibilityI think it's more a case of 'a bit of both', BFCfan33, if we're been completely honest ...
Yep, Southgate and Critchley, bit of a theme going on there.I’m ok,across the pond at the moment catching up on the football. It’s dire and as for Jordan H going to Germany I’m with you for once. Awful form at the moment at Ajax,I’m pretty confident he still gets picked.

Play him in Norburn's position? He has great feet but doesn't look comfortable in the 9 role. He will probably come good.

My thoughts all season - Critchley has Harrod's tastes with an Aldi budget. What I'm saying is Critch is too clever for his own good and that doesn't work with the current group of players, who aren’t.
you say players have come and played well the tactics/formations haven't changed so why are they not playing now?Look at how many players have come on board, started really well before inept tactics and inconsistent start/bench tinkering have beaten the fire out of them
Lavery is a perfect example of this
Yes he got injured, but how many other players are willing to take over the Yates roll of charging the opposition down, yet Critch has him warming the bench
You're absolutely right, Macseasider. And, just to really hammer the point home, nor do words such as 'spontaneous' or 'ingenious' particularly spring to mind as you trawl through your personal vocabulary for suitable adjectives to be employed in any kind of match report you might choose to submit ... Words such as 'incomprehensble' and 'dire', maybe? There is no guile of creativity at all in that final third. It's all just very robotic and routine.
you say players have come and played well the tactics/formations haven't changed so why are they not playing now?
Help if he started wouldn’t it and we played him to get the most out of him.Sober thanks, I just think £1M strikers should be able to score more than 2 goals a season.
'Backwards and sideways' makes it sound as though the players have all been instructed in some kind of crappy kids' party game.Backwards and sideways something we’re actually good at.
I’ve watched him set-up numerous goals and chances that none of our other forwards can.Is it? Have you watched him? He's useless.
Norburn was great first few gamesHarsh on Joseph, I challenge any player to play to their full capacity under Critchley. Look at Lavery, he looks lost. But, apart from that, his 'approach' has been absolutely spot-on ...Absolutely no chance. It's the manager, his set up, his formation and his selections that are the problems.
