Pep bollocking Grealish

Time and a place and that wasn't the time or place .. there again Ctitch bites his lip and says nothing!

Pep knows what he's doing. He does things to get the best from players.

Some players need an arm round them, others need a kick up the arse, others need an almighty bollocking. To put a BFC perspective on it, some need proper tactics.

I'd trust 100% that Pep got it exactly right.

Surprised at this from Pep, as mentioned there's a time and place and the dressing room is exactly the right place to get all his frustrations out but to do it in front of a worldwide audience of million?

No, he's go that one wrong.

He's a showpony manager, just nicked Cruyff's philosophy and built this guru image, already had a tailor made great team in Barcelona with Messi etc...and then just signed up for the clubs with the biggest spending power in Germany and here.

Let's not forget the hypocrisy of course, yet everyone falls for his shctick.

I'd have just told him to fuck off and walk away if I were Grealish.

Bloody great player mind you.

Probably happened all the time.

How about game over and TV cameras uck off.

Guardiola is a great manager and was a very good player.

I think he thinks Grealish is a top player and wants to make him the best player he can be.

Love the passion👏👏

Well that would be finished.

See you later Lytham.

Can't let people take the piss though.
You can when he’s the best and your just a cog in the wheel (and I don’t mean you).

I don’t think he’s being disrespectful in fact I think he loves Grealish as a player. Just wants more. Look at what he did with Doku who wasn’t great, a pat on the head, he knows his players.

If only he'd played Messi as a RWB, he'd be up there 😂

Brazil 1970, Barcelona under Pep. No team, well OK maybe Holland '74 and Accrington '81 come close.

Grealish is the show pony not Pep.
Compare him to Foden you can count on both hands(if lucky) the amount of games Jack has had a 8/9 out of 10 for City.

I've been somewhat underwhelmed since he was brilliant at Villa now with England and Man City.

Pep changed the way English teams played all way down the pyramid have now copied also it doesn't matter how good a squad you inherit or spend unless you are the best coach you'll win shit.

He knows EXACTLY what he's doing.

I agree about Grealish, weird how Southgate gets pelters for not starting him whereas Guardiola is some kind of Delphic Oracle.

It wasn't calculated, he just can't control his emotions at times. Klopp is not far behind him. I even saw Pep do it with an opposition player once in Nathan Redmond after they'd beaten Southampton which is ridiculous but he got away with it. I like to see someone give it back to him like Nunez did the other week because he doesn't like it. He's a great manager no doubt though.

He also has the luxury of buying players for 100 million and 77 million for his bench. He gets players others would love and doesn't play them for years. Managers at clubs that are financially responsible can't do such things.

True, but he does the biz against teams with a similar budget type approach. Doku cost £50m and Akanji something like £12m. Both not that massive in relative terms. He does make players better.

I'm not sure Kalvin Philips would agree. Has he made Grealish better? No doubt he is a great coach, but he gets away with a lot that others wouldn't be able to in my opinion. The pundits don't talk about this our how he is happy to turn a blind eye to the 115 charges as long as he gets all the players he wants and a big paycheck.

He's trained the joy out of Grealish's game and Phillips looks like a husk.

Always quick to anger when facing questions he doesn't want, the most protected manager in the world.

Just talking about Pep and not City. You're always going to get players who don't work out. Hasn't Grealish been injured?

Been at City since 2021. I think he was more of a threat before he joined them to be honest. They paid a fortune for him and you'd have thought he would have improved further and score 20 a season. Hasn't happened.

A different team to Villa. He'd never score that many for City.

They paid £100m for him, or was it Euro's??? Either way English players of any quality commanded an excess because of the rules. Had he been from, I don't know, say Argentina then his fee would have been nowhere near that.

Plus players can have a poor approach once they've 'made it'. Not saying that's the case, just that it's not as simple as saying PG hasn't improved him, or he's not as good.
