Is it a bird, is it a plane...

No it's another poor article and someone running to the sun again...

Another poor article from the sun, making it look like someone is paying 44k, yet it's a maintenance cost divided between all the houses and they'll have agreed to pay it.

Looks like the developer passed it on though, as part of getting permission to build the houses there.

Not sure how their dream home has been ruined by the maintenance fee they'll have known about, now they found out it includes scaring brids.

Perhaps they could get a reduction if they all bought a cat or even two. 😂

Why should anyone in Lytham need to pay for a seagull scarer at Blackpool Airport?

If they think the bird scarers costs have ruined their dream homes, they're in for a shock if they go ahead with the cabling nearby for the offshore wind farms

I feel for them a bit but they have basically bought a house on bog land next to an airport.
Why? The maintenance cost will have been known about, they've only had their dream home 'ruined' because they've realised some of it is for scaring birds at the airport.

Now whether 44k total is right whoknows, the airport is Blackpool Council owned, maybe they've seen an opportunity to get a small tax from Fylde houses... but I doubt it, they'll probably be able to justify the costs. The housing builder agreed with it but they would to get it built, knowing it'll be passed on.

It’s a non article by the rag named The Sun. End of. Bloody Hell you’d think there was nothing else newsworthy happening at the moment.

Just don't pay it basically, not sure why they've put the charge on. The bird scarer has been on the airport for as long as I can remember, seems like a cash grab.
