The Masters

Well, it’s here again: THE greatest golf show on the planet (as the Yanks would have us believe).
Once more, I’m hoping Rory will finally do it but Scheffeler will be the shortest odds since Tiger in his prime.

It's a great spectacle to be fair. I fancy Hovland or hopefully another European to win. Rory seems to have a mental block when it comes to the masters.

Is it me or does it all seem a bit flat? No-one seems to be having much fun out there. I guess the Liv defection hasn't helped, all those players filling their boots at the expense of their tour.

Weather isn't helping. Can't seem to judge the breeze at all, either under or overclubbing.

The TV coverage is awful too. Endless slo-mos of players walking in after finishing, random shots of azaleas and the American flag, aerial shots of the course. They hardly show any golf and when they do there seems no logic to it! All very odd.

Great watching Tiger though. Battling the wind, the dusk, the well used greens and his ageing body and still absolute box office.

No wonder Scheffler is a short price favourite, he's bang in form and just shot a 66.

Since the start of March he's played in three tournaments, won two and finished second in the other and earned over £9m in prize money, the guy is on fire.

Read an article today slating Tiger basically saying he was deluded for thinking he can win again. That guy is so gutsy and I wouldn't write him off just yet, he looks physically strong. Tomorrow will be a big test though 23 holes.

Always the same, it's because of the endless advert breaks in the US and everyone uses that feed.

That Rolex advert the trot out takes the biscuit for corporate bullsheet.

I was well impressed with Tiger last night. He looked focused and strong. Anyone suggesting he's deluded is being pretty disrespectful really. I hope he makes a good showing.

Tommy has a great chance today provided he maintains concentration with all those holes to complete.

Scheffler looking pretty unstoppable at the moment. Now or never for Tommy. Would be good if he could get to say 7 under and put a total up to challenge the leaders.

So sad that this wonderful tournament can only be watched if you pay money to bloody Sky!! I used to really enjoy watching it on BBC with the amazing Peter Allis commentating

Another good tournament. If you are interested in golf Sky do a much better job with it. No many non-golf fans will get converted these days by having it on BBC as we are all binge watching on netflix. I only tune in live to BBC sport to watch Diamond in action on Gladiators ;)

The BBC are incapable of covering it now. They even gave up the last year of the Open contract. Sky do a great job and have raised golf coverage to another level. They cover it every week not just the big ones.
